Requesting a BIOS if anybody out there has it archived or has the knowledge to mod it.
Specifically, needing NVME boot capability built into the rev4.0 of the above board. Honestly, I'd be happy with the latest F3 BIOS + NVME boot capabilities, that's really all I'm missing.
TY in advance if anyone has it backed up (or can create it). I've found it on Gigabyte forums, but the google drive is locked down that it was hosted on.

Premature bump, just because this rig is sitting on my test bench without an OS.

TY! Applied for a membership there, waiting on admin approval and I absolutely will! TY very much. If I can get NVME to work on this board, that'll save me a 2.5" SSD that I can use elsewhere in other builds. So yay!

Damn, Gigabyte Revised that board 5 times, not a good sign.
Unfriggin believable, they never provided nvme support like Asus did on my Sabertooth R 2.0...

I got it for like $40 on ebay, and its been a pretty solid board up until now when I decided to use a spare NVME to be able to get the 2.5" SSD out of it to save some cash for other builds. Long run on sentence lol. Besides that, its got my 1100T clocked to 4.1GHz absolutely rock solid, VRM's are fine on it for my uses. I'm not 100% sure I'd trust an 8 core FX overclocked super high on it. But its rev4.0 of the board, it'll support all the CPU's. Yeah, so far my biggest complaint is the lack of NVME on it. But NVME is much later than this board anyway, to be honest I wasn't expecting it to work at all. But apparently it is capable with a modded BIOS.

What you are using it for it will be good. I was just saying they dont go well at extreme overclocking.

A bit off topic. I do not know about the 990's Gig. But I have good experiences of the 780&890 series "ultra durable". Asked my younger son, if it is time to upgrade from his 890, he said no. Works well as it is.

I too have a UD3, a couple UD5s and a couple UD7s. They are fun to play with but if you want to do some extreme 990FX overclocking look elsewhere. My personal go to would be Asus.
