Hi All, Been out of touch for a while. Lots going on with wife and family. Just wanted to give all my friends an update and holiday greetings, been meaning to write this for months now.
Still crunching but haven't really had time for much more.
First. hope everyone (USA) had a happy thanksgiving, we had a awesome one, my sisters came in and we spent it with mom.
Also hope everyone has a wonderful and rewarding holiday season. All the best to you and your families.
Main focus has been mom and family.
It's been a rewarding but tough the last few months, dealing with wifes recovery and mom's sunset living in her house, she'll be 90 soon and i've been helping her for a few years now but things don't get better but slowly degrade. She is doing well but it takes a lot of work and also has a mental component (me) that I have been learning to deal with. Wife is doing better and she is in fla with her family till after the holiday, so things are getting better every. This has taken up most of my time and energy.
The Club.
With so much going on the club has been an afterthought, but with some new things going on in my life it's making a comeback but with a whole new spin.
Today's youth just isn't interested in hardware or related stuff like we are, so I have some new ideas and look forward to 2023 to see if I can make a go with it.
Overclocking,
This is another passion that I had to put on hold till I can get the headspace to do it right.
I am not going anywhere and do look forward to overclocking in 2023, but I had to take stock of my real priorities and be true to my nature.
I still have all the hardware I had before and did pick up some new stuff to bang on.
I look forward to becoming a productive member of Warp9-systems in 2023, I feel strongly about this.
Long time away from but returning to.
I've been waiting to get back into this since I stopped when my son was born (he's now 24) but have been waiting till the time is right.
This is a project that I am doing for me, this project that has been on the backburner for many many years, i get a lot of enjoyment from it and it's a great distraction and will be rewarding on many levels.
I don't advocate this to anyone, but since it's legal in CT now and I meet all the requirements I have started up my home lab.
Here is the link from XS documenting my endeavor.
All the best to everyone and I look forward to a great 2023.
Respect
Steve
