the overclock with 1usmus' ctr2.1 rc5 has been solid as a rock for well over a year; i am currently working on destabilising the rig having purchased a (superfluous for my current needs, but you never know) second pair of 2x8gig g.skill b.die, and although i have it cranking at 16-16-16-36 1T on a mere 1.376vdimm with passes on testmem5, i am still pretty clueless at all the parameters i need to tweak, and happy to leave it unmolested further (for now)
the rtx2060 super was a great score - never mined, from the rig of the boyfriend of a local lady who builds bespoke water cooled rigs as her side hustle - he got her 3060ti when she upped to a 3080ti; per what i can gather it's only a small notch down from a 3060, and only needs a single 8 pin plug, saving me a major pain in the arse retrofit of another modular cable in the good ol' lian li, where the psu is old school mounted at the top of the case (many thanks to mr.scott for sourcing the mounting plate for me all those years ago)
all in all it's a great daily driver
turned 64 last week, and earlier in the year got the nod of approval from my haematologist - 5 years in total remission from lymphoma and downgraded to yearly review; he won't call me cured, but it's all semantics and i'm still breathing, so defining my state of being is less consequential than continuing to be till i'm not
even my vile light sensitivity finally abated, almost 5 years to the day from finishing the chemo, and i can stand the sunshine again (not that the east coast has had much here for over a year) - but when i get outside it's fun :
video courtesy of my daughter; pursuit dog is now 10 and a bit arthritic, but going out for a sortie makes her a puppy again
anyhow, best wishes to a fine bunch of people; i drift by from time to time even if i don't always post (bit like my new ram really). but you guys are never that far from my thoughts
carry on
