I'm going to see how my A10-5800B can go with a the UP4. The D3H limited max clocks when I got 5.2GHz w/ AiO. I lean strongly towards AMD, got nothing newer than 2600k for Intel... 
Hoping W9 is on top, regardless of who exactly it is. |

Awesome. I took 6 weeks parental leave when my baby was born. I didn't wind down properly until about 10 days in, then it was bliss... Hope you acclimatize to being off faster than I.

Turn it off to 2 cores in the bios Using PSCheck is more effective for this sample since the first module is second best. Can't turn module 1 off, so all cores are @ < 1.7GHz until I manually boost the last (& best) 2 cores to 5.6GHz |

Does anyone have tips for getting > 1.55v in PSCheck for AM3+ CPUs? I have a FX-8320 which seems to not instantly overheat, and still wants more voltage on the good module. From Buildzoid's FX-6300 5.6GHz video, my takeaway was that some boards are VID-based (hence limited to 1.55v), but others calculate voltage differently and you may surpass this limit. If correct, I'm SOL. So far I've gone through: FX-4200 -> ~5300MHz max 4300 -> 5520MHz 6300 -> 5630MHz, happy to be current top AMD so far in the comp but I want to cement it further. 6350 -> 5500MHz (disappointment) 8300 -> ~ 5400MHz 8320 -> almost can valid 5600MHz, needs more testing 8350 -> 5600MHz Three of these have potential I think. But 5.7GHz will indefinitely be out of reach without buying more samples (not doing that) or figuring out > 1.55v in PSCheck. Still not the worst showing, I was expecting a lot worse in the beginning. |
