With the market being the way it is, I am considering a Sapphire, HIS, Visiontek, AsRock GPU.
I have a 290 VaporX and they only came in 4G.
Im looking towards a Sapphire 290X VaporX 8G.
I know the Sapphire Nitro 390/X are just 290Xs but I prefer the color of the VaporX.
I'm not risking a used RX580/90 due to most being just mining abused parts.
Would it be better to Consider a RX Vega 56 or 64 from 1 of the makers above? What about a 5700XT?
RX 6600+ are too far out of reach.
No Nvidia suggestions please.

They are crippled by their weak ass pcie 4x bus. I will be running this in my FX Rig. Im at a point that if an older card is bnib I'd rather spend for that than a newer card. |

Nevermind, what I posted wasn't close to relevant as I realized after I had posted. I now see the model you want, (Sapphire 290X VaporX 8G) will keep an eye out for you. EDIT #2: I did spot this and did the usual checks on the seller, they do look to be legit. Understand Im on a 290, not an X, it is only 4G. Im not going to spend 1000+ on any gpu. I also only use Unigen and Ryzen blender for stability tests. I don't use benchmarks for FPS counts. I dont think HBM really gives an advantage in gaming over non hbm cards, plus it seems they were a bitch to cool due to unlevel die. Then again Perhaps I should experiment with the blue hsf frontier cards? I may skip it and go directly to a 5700 XT for 1 of the AIBs above if there is a waterblock by Alphacool. Who knows I may finally jump to a Threadripper/AsRock setup |
