Bought a Asrock 4core Dual Vsta last week
worked fine from what i could see was on 1.40 Bios so decided to update to the 2.30 bios
flashed with the Asrock tool , Next boot got no post so reset CMOS next try it booted but now hangs at MAC address are invalid in Both CMOS and FLash Press F1 to continue
all is good right? no.... no responce from the keyboard as it hasnt even had chance to start the USB controler before erroring out. i do not own a PS/2 keyboard here
so im stuck.
does anyone here have the knowledge to find the MAC address HEX asrock has in there bios? or at least disable the message at startup so i can readd the mac address.
As they have a tool to add the Mac address back into the bios , but since i cant get into DOS to use the tool im stuck Asrock Provides the MAC address key on a sticker on Printer port. here is the key. 001966120DBF
i also dumped the updated bios after i flashed incase you can recover anything from that.
Help is much needed , Thanks All

Bad flash killed you. Don't use the Asrock tool to flash, use AFUDOS. Unfortunately what you want done won't help. You need a PS/2 keyboard and a reflash. PS/2 keyboards are dime a dozen. You'll always need one for the old platforms anyways.

Hit F11 for boot menu, then F1 to continue. Unfortunately, I'm only able to find a Russian video on this:

The syntax for you would be: Yeah have the program downloaded. Actually the program they provide is bugged with the VSTA specifically so had a friend patch it for me. As I can't get past the F1 error since the USB controler is not INT. I'm most likely gonna have to get a PS/2 Keyboard to flash the Mac address
