New member... I just joined here. I was looking for the old CP forums but I guess it is now transformed to Warp-9.  Ive been around lurking... Sometimes posting at the various computer forums for quite a few(+) years now. Mostly OCF, TPU, XS, OCN, [H] maybe some others too. I do bench a little at hwbot under my handle but I never officially joined the OCF team. I'm also a member of the TPU World Community Grid team and before that I participated on the OCF Rosetta@home team. I basically enjoy and like to mess around with overclocking computers both new and old. I wanted to join up because I knew those from the old CP as well as some of the people here would be a good resource regarding older generation computer tech. On a side note... I seemed to have made an error with my handle name when I signed up?? It should be "PolRoger" not all lower case "polroger"... Maybe Mr.Scott or perhaps some other mod/administrator could please correct this for me. Thanks, -Pol |

How to:
Click your name and on the right click "edit profile" tab.
Then click the "personal" tab (second tab starting from the left)
Change your name, scroll down and save settings. Done.

Then click the "personal" tab (second tab starting from the left) Change your name, scroll down and save settings. Done. That option is locked by default, requires staff permission to change. Didn't know it could be done, thought it was something ProBoards themselves had to change. Drives me crazy since I hate that it registred mine with a lower case "B" as well, did that all on it's own even though I used a capital B to create the username. |

I agree with others on the lower case stuff. I go by WhiteWulfe everywhere and it's moderately annoying to have it all lower case.

Yes, Proboards defaults to all small letters. Stupid really.

I don't recall having to put a capitol S and B after joining here. Must be something they added in at some point while updating? Oh, BTW (off topic sorry) That 7.3L Ford (1995) turned out it sat so long the injector poppets are most all stuck or the tips clogged. (I'm new at this shop, so the story behind it predates me) Since Dec 24th last year-- It needed the front cover resealed. The kids that did it, had to pull the motor twice. (I'm certain it still leaks even though haven't gotten it running) There was a Cam code, I replaced the aftermarket with OEM. Owner is mad. Wants the truck back. He will have to deal with it himself then. I assembled the front end, hood ect and off it goes (whenever he picks it up) So bad. That Mechanic was fired before I arrived. The old timer retired the same day I dropped my boxes off. (Yes 2 I have a triple and double bay) Holy Moly, what a bad deal for our company. I intend to make it a better place. Make some money. |
