Was sent a prototype GFD from the people at CPU World to test for them. These have been all but extinct for about 20 years now. I have an original one that took me near 10 years to find. For old hardware buffs like me, this is huge. For those that don't know, GFD (gold finger device) plugs on the top of the Slot A CPU and allows you to alter the multiplier and voltage for overclocking. Sometime the cache multi can be changed also, pending the motherboard used. I have a couple high end boards for slot A already so..........

An old friend of mine introduced me to overclocking in the celly 333 days. He had one of those devices! I should ask him if he still has it.. I don't know the name or make, and I think I have seen it only once or twice. I wonder if he knows what he has? He gave up overclocking in the Northwood days when I was trying to beat him with my Barton. Ill let you know what he says!

As for worth of that item, I paid 100 dollars for mine like 10 years ago. They're that rare.

That's like the "BIOS Savior" I've got around here somewhere. You don't see those around either.

Yes. That's another rare item every decent OC'er had in his arsenal.
