Frustrating time with ASUS Crosshair 2 Formula

Was going to do some benches on the less loved chips on HWBot but oh boy this board is driving me crazy.

it just wont clock. which is strange because i binned my 89w 6000+ chips on it have settings wrote down but now these settings aint working

tried about 6 different kits of ram no change. but i do suspect its memory related because if i drop to like 400mhz ddr2 then it works every time

any of you guys have experience with this board and know the issue?. i hate Nforce boards especially NF5 Series and up. Was thinking about getting my M3A32 MVP Deluxe sent over as it clocks as it should 

clocks i achieved before it started acting up was with my now dead Dominator 2x1gb 2.15v 1066mhz CL5-5-5-15

Board was overrated.
The Gig boards are better for that platform.
790X-UD4P and the like.

Will look out for one but the lack of AMD stuff here is challenging 95% of the older boards that pop up are Intel. Has to be DDR2 as well for phenom and Athlon stuff. Have Crosshair IV for DDR3 and that rocks
