Won a i3 530 for like 50 cents last week. Put it in my board and it comes up as an ES. IHS Looks diffrent to my other chips has a slightly diffrent metal color to it on IHS its a plain i3 SLBLR C2 Step, looks to maybe a factory screw up? IHS doesnt look tampered with
Was told by my friend that the barcode on the chip matches to ES chip but IHS is wrong
Overclocked it a bit clocked pretty well for 1.475v IMC was garbage even with high volts

Sometimes they used ES chips to fill a void in production models. Probably is ES chip with a production IHS.

Asus P55's are a pain with mems (really they're just a pain overall), I find 7-9-7-24 works best for 1000MHz+ PSC on my M3F. 6-8-6 tops out around 850.
