Been meaning to pull the trigger on buying one of these boards one popped up tonight for 400 SEK so bought it (50 USD). Hope it's a good board and clocks well always have preferred P45 over X48. I'm trying to get all the ROG boards on 775. And that's one more ticked off the list currently I have. have P5Q deluxe at home basically same board 16 phase power delivery had a lot of good experiences with it clocking well with various chips.

Finally got the board in came last week. I actually had to order from a different seller as the guy I bought it from did a runner with my cash. PayPal refunded in the end so screw that guy.
Anyway....
Started out with the E4xxx series
E4300 - Done
E4400 - Done
E4500 - Done
E4600 - Done
E4700 - Done (but on P5Q-E)
For some reason the E4700 didn't boot on the Maximus II Formula - - Post code. The caps on the bottom look different to the E4300-E4600 chips(looked like E6xxx layout). Trying to learn the board more so any help is appreciated. I think i got some really good results with these chips on air. Air is all I have at the moment but it's still fun to bench. -10c outside so taking advantage of the cold ambient.

Good that you got your money back. E4700 is Conroe and the rest are Allendale IIRC although CPU-Z shows all as Conroe. Not sure why it didn't work in the M2F, should be supported on even the release bios. |
