Got 3 of these Gainward cards in early this year. Very cool cards,
Not your standard 7800gs. 2 Are G71 Chips Fully unlocked 24 pipes (Basicaly a 7950GT!) Clocks 450c-650m / 500c-700m 512mb memory
1 is a G70 Chip with 4 pipes disabled so 20 pipe - Clocks 425c-600m 512mb memory
Had the G71 Card doing 7900GTX Speeds absolutly insane! Memory is by Samsung K4J52324QC-BJ12. The BJ 12s are supposed to be the best Bins in the linup rated for 800mhz 2v checked the datasheet.
Yet to properly bench these cards on my AM2NF3 VSTA with Phenom ii 965 4ghz CL4 Mem.
If i was to what card would i list it on HWBot? does show in Windows as a 7800gs but its 24 pipe with 7950GT clocks

I'll handle this one later. Initially there was the reference 7800GS being G70, 16 pipes. Then Gainward released Gainward 7800GS which has G70 and 20 pipes, making it a 7800GT (you can see the GT marking on the chip). Then some companies started to push out their 20 pipe products as 7800GS+ and Gainward kicked in again and published a Gainward 7800GS+ which was G71 24 pipes making it a 7900/7950GT series card. So there's reference (16 pipes) 7800GS - 20 pipes (GW 7800GS and others named 7800GS+) - and 24 pipe GW 7800GS+. After that there was a number of 7950GT AGP.
This is what I remember, need to refresh those memories and sort things out as rankings now are flooded with 24 pipe overpowered cards. Wouldn't be an option if pipes would unlock but they are locked IIRC.

Very Cool I still have my 8255 GS+ GLH 512 G71 But it has the 1.2 7900GTX mem on it. 500/700 Stock clocks 700/1500 was about the highest i clocked it www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/tpus-high-end-agp-graphic-card-club-collectors.185131/page-2#post-2922241It was The highest up in PCIe {XT1950 ect }cards for some bench they had but the SS are gone
I tried to make a big copper plate for a heat sink but the HSI chip stuck up too far and i never got around to milling out a slot for it
I had a TON of pic's and scores with it, also my "Benchmark" in those system spec's are from this card.
People now days cant figure out what all that means LOL

Hello everyone, can anyone take a photo for me of a Gainward 7800gs on a G70 chip from both sides in high quality?
