Latest pick up for me, said likely broken, works perfect. My 1st LGA1155 set in the house, so far. This i3 even seem to beat an overclocked FX-4300. Neat case and silent, quite energy efficient too. PWM case fan.

^Low mileage, cleaned it up. Put a new SSD in the above set, now given to the wife as her DD, replacing a FX-4300/A970.

Another find. Cost me some 10€+. Not sure why I would do this, just out of curiosity I guess.
The other i3 in the house works very well, if this one would too, then I will rid some older stuff.
Complete unit+W7 license, wi-fi, w/o HDD. Will need to pick it up sometime this/next week.

Picked it up, took it into pieces and cleaned everything. Was not too bad, no tobacco and fur. I cleaned even the PSU on the inside. The GPU fan had an annoying rattle but lubrication helped. The DVD drive had a seized tray which came alive after training.

Made a small upgrade to the above unit. Nice to see how the Turbo mode kicks in.

Re the above mentioned hp pavilion unit, a few months back let it the take the plunge for running W11 on it. And it does(with the needed workaround). Since then it has been a kind of GPU guinea pig, for trying out different older GPUs w. regard to MS dumping support for a lot of older GPUs that still worked OK in W10. Anyway, now pulled the discrete GPU and running "on-board" IGPU by i5 2500k, and it works, not too slow, although, have not played with any 3D stuff though.

Todays exercise, wanted to try out the Fujitsu Esprimo i3 integrated HD2000 graphics. That was a no go, five beeps w/o discrete GPU. I do not get it, why did it not play, went into BIOS checked this and that, same. Have another i3 with iGPU, but did not try it out, but really made me think is it something blocking the CPU iGPU to not play. The discrete GPU is original from the time unit was assembled.

Half of my CPU's from ivy to Skylake the integrated Graphics dont work once they have been run with a card for a length of time it seems to be the only way they will run.

ugh, they neuter by themselves, did not know. So likely I should not bother trying the other i3, it is my wife´s desktop so can not tinker much there.
Anyway it works just fine with the discrete GPU card. Still a bit curious though.
Have to check if that old hp w. i5 2500k iGPU still show smth while on W11.
EDIT: On it, W11 pushes its updates to the HP unit, so far so good. A bit impressed how this little i5-2500k buzzes on, after all it is an old chip(with HD3000).

Put in the 2nd i3-2120 into my wife's Esprimo rig(she is out of town ). Ha, the on chip graphics HD2000 work with this i3, no issues. Exactly the same code&country on the chips. well, another 25W/h saved I guess. If estimates hold up, could be some $40 a year.

The electricity in your area must be expensive! But 40$ is good savings.

Yes, energy prices skyrocketed end of last/beginning of this year, due to our neighbor country leadership is a stubborn lying bully causing all kind of issues. Energy market is very unstable.
Some ppl are in trouble with their electricity bills/contracts.

I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully things will get better soon. I've been in trouble with bills, but is a product of raising a family on a single income for many years. Thankfully those days are behind me now. I can tolerate an increase in taxes and such, but the government doesn't care those savings are for our kids future, not our own.
