I cant remember when or where I saw/read it; but is there an adapter that will allow you to run DDR2 ram on DDR3 motherboard?

There are adapters to convert 200 pin DDR2 SO-SIMM laptop to desktop and adapters 240 Pin DDR3 to fit SO-DIMM from laptop to desktop.
But no DDR2 to DDR3. There is no memory controller to "see" a DDR2 as DDR3 due to vast differences in architecture.

Frank you are probably thinking of the DDR2 / DDR adaptor that was made by Gigabyte. I remember talking about it to Alex (Where is he) It only worked in some VIA chipped boards though from memory. The 4CoreSata2 isnt the only board thats capable of running both types of memory the others just havent got both types of slots.
