OK, so an issue, kind of.....
I pulled the battery. I leave it out. This way I can avoid jumping the cmos jumpers which are difficult to get at. I don't have my whip installed.... which is an alternative, but noticed something.
So what happens, I simply power off the PSU to clear cmos. Should work right? A few minutes?
This thing was unplugged maybe 15 minutes and my OC settings remained, posted in safe mode.
How long exactly should this take?
I've tried hitting the power button multiple times.
Is this something where the board is just draining the caps in the PSU or something?

OC settings will stay even if the power is off and battery pulled for a month it will lose clock settings though. Its not a fault all my from Z170 onwards Maximus boards and CH6 do the same thing it can be a dangerous thing though especially if you last used it in a nitrogen session. You have to clear it with the clear CMOS button or jumper depending on which it has.

My Sabertooth has been doing it for the longest. I can leave the battery out for 6 months and the OC'ed settings never clear. I normally set and save with default settings before a teardown of the system after a benching session(s), that being saved as a default profile I can load anytime.
