According to the article, Chrome will be supported for at least another year and a half. Which is cool. Lots of PCs with W7 out there. Enterprise versions of W7 will still receive security updates, but will come at a cost. Of course, just another money making tactic, and cutting costs continually updating out dated operating systems.... even though they work good. Glas to hear Google isn't anywhere near the levels of idiocy that Microsoft is.
The company I work for had to "downgrade" several machines to Windows XP simply because, well, old software didn't run properly on Windows 7. Sure, we're getting a new system (in three years) but still. It's trying to tie eight legacy systems together that service over 25k employees and have it come out as one single system that makes it all rather.... Interesting. Unique?
Ah unno.
But yeah, definitely glad to hear such things, quite a few are happy with Windows 7, and/or wind up losing out in the use of some things due to incompatibilities with how things run in 8 and/or 10...

I still use W7 for a daily rig. The other PCs in the house are on W10 and I've had some issues here and there, nothing major like I've read luckily.
Expect another 2 years of use w7 before I gotta switch to W10. (probably have newer hardware by then too)

Pretty much the same here. Will be Windows 7 until the next hardware revamp, which will hopefully be relatively soon(ish), quite possibly this year. At that point, I'll fire up Windows 10 simply because it will be "easier" to run on the new hardware. It'll still have an adaptation period, but such is life. Hubby has shown me a few tricks I can do to keep the system more like I want it. ^_^

W10 isn't horrible, I'm accustomed to it now. I've just enjoyed W7 for so long, never had an issue or felt the need to upgrade to like Vista or W8.... Although I had vista, I sold it as fast as I gotten it. Horrible compatibility issues on release. Kinda like 10 but a lot worse. lol

I just really don't like certain elements of how the UI and Start Menu are. Everything else, I'd probably get used to in relatively short order.
