Most of them suck so good ones are hard to come by. The one I used to have did something like 4.9G @ 1.65V on ice water lol.

Never pushed mine to test max cpu frequency. But for SP32 ran at 5050mhz @ 1.5v on water stable. But had more in it  |

Whatever your board early bios wont support it from memory it will be locked.

I am planning on binning them this summer and am trying to get more chips in the spreadsheet. |

Looks like they changed the allowed sockets for Div VIII.
No more 1150 or 1151.

Nah there are 2 Legacy's legacy and Legacy B Forget that there are 3 intel legacy's  Div VII Open cores 1150 allowed ( Legacy ) Div VIII 2 cores 1150 allowed (Legacy A) Div IX 2 cores 775 / 771 (Legacy B) I will be going in all 3 plus AMD legacy. Only thing is my G3258 is over at Umina I gave it away and I dont really feel like going getting it back ( I could ) But I will just buy another they are cheap enough. |

Just so everyone knows, G3258 in NOT Benchmate compatible. It lacks a necessary instruction set. Mat says fix is coming but it will be at least a month.

I did a couple on minutes thought to Challenger and I wont be using G3258 its limited to 4Ghz I will be using I3-4370 3.8Ghz with 105 baseclock 3990 Mhz its got more cache as well as HT 2 cores 4 threads it will belt the tripe out of 3258 in multi threaded benches. |

I see that.
Pretty much any i3-4xxx processor will be the big hitter. Roughly 25% better than G3258.
Might have to dig one up.
EDIT- Hmmmm.....I can get a i3-4160 dirt cheap. Might have to give that a go.

You will go Ok with that maybe the board will do good in Baseclock you will need 108 to see 4G even at 3900 you will do Ok.
