I've been battling my Gaming rig for 2 days now. Blue screen after blue screen.
Finally a good post turning off driver enforcement via F8 during post. Nothing else seemed to work.... I can now use my PC. Haven't tried a regular startup after this disbale of driver enforcement, yet, but here I am!!
So I pulled my two sticks to do some testing on another system, and when I put the sticks back in, I had enabled default settings in bios and the OS did not like it. I've tried many configurations in the bios, everything I can think of for CPU and MEM that would hold me back, it seems it has nothing to do with HW at all..... totally stumped.
What would cause me to disable driver enforcement??? I've not installed anything new recently. I did update GPU-Z, but have many restarts before this issue occurred.
Any pointers, suggestions and questions welcome. I'm not typically stumped like this,,, lol.
System specs:
Asus Prime B450M-A 2700X - de-lidded, posts runs on stock air. 16GB Corsair 3000 LPX right now at stock posting 1066 (effective) 15-15-15 PSU Antec CP 850W - All rails check out on the multi-meter, seems just fine, good strong current. SSD Patriot torqx (original version OS drive) is posting with driver enforcement off. HDD a DELL 120GB 7200 with games on it, seems to be working fine, can access and play games. Asus Strix GTX 980 - seems to be operating just fine also.
Gah, pulling my hairs out over here. HELP!!

It's an older OS, 9 months old maybe a year W7 64 bit ultimate.
Going to unplug everything except my C: drive and see what happens.

1) Command prompt with elevated rights sfc /scannow. Reboot. 2) DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth If these two commands do not restore your issue, a fresh install of windows might be a solution. Unless, you have a HW issue. Go figure Usually mems do these crap, but since you tested them.. Also reset bios to default. If this also does not work, look for a bios update, or even flash the same bios again ( latest ) !!! And yes, it has happened to me. Good luck mate.

OK George, you're a life saver. Did exactly what you said and seems to be doing just fine now!!
Weirdest thing I've ever encountered. Again, thank you very much.
I have it all at stock settings right now, boots into windows perfectly.
May reflash bios just in case as you suggested.
thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!

Got the os cloned Jon? Might be a life saver the next time. Get her all perfect the way you like it and then clone that bugger and put it away someplace safe?

Interesting it could of been GPUz that caused this was it the latest version 2.23. I put it on the desktop not install just open from desktop EP45-UD3P / 980Ti W7 64 just 2 days ago and got bluescreens when I opened it so I went back to 2.22 and no problem.

You could be right Pete. Ill look at the revision and see later when I get back home. Freaked me out a bit.
I should clone it, but I dont want to use the drive space for it.
Did you know that you dont need cloning software with W7? Its already built in. Done it several years ago when tearing down Raid 0 to a single drive.

Best OS they've ever made that wasn't cloud based.
Pete, it is 2.23.0. - removed and installed 2.22.0 for now.
