I thought everyone had Dominator GT's I have got about 6 sets of them but a couple are PSC chipped. I thought too but after than I realized I haven't. :DD I have some blue beauty hypers. Hyperx T1 's. Just when I was doin' some 1366 benches, I really can kill for a third stick...

I also have a few kits of 2x2GB Flare, Pi and Doms. Those last two G.Skill kits are sought after as well great for higher speed/newer DDR3 systems or AMD APUs I have those too. Picked up a Extreme 975 also.

Oh that's a nice cooler. Once it's mounted, could you post a pic of it. I like that kind of stuff.

Looks good Your benches will be 10% faster now. Seller told me 15%. After some work with the board watercooled I feel some improvements ! However it was so good before the cooler change too but now it works even more smooth, stable. Sb don't need more voltage when fsb is high. I had to give a little juice before around and above 200. Put gap pads to every surface where block is close to any part of the board and around the chipset too. Try to maximalize the heat spreading surface. Fingering the whole board through and I couldn't find any hot area. Seems it temperates very good. Hope it will be good effect to the lifetime. I'm very satisfied with it ! ving : Yes, seems really good one ! Know what can be better than finding a good cpu ? Find two ! :DDD hwbot.org/submission/4183433_hwbot.org/submission/4183434_So, I bought 3 cpu, 2 from them is very good. Golden fingers.. I want to conservate that percentage for my whole life ! :DD

Nice cpu man. 1.4v qpi is totally ok, but you probably figured that out by now. For me to run a medium high bclk with medium qpi and mems at 800 6-6-6-20 I need to be over 1.375v. I ran it a 1.39v on the qpi for about 5 years. My cpu is an es and I dont think its quite as good as what you would have got in a box.

Why did nobody message me about this thread? Just saw it haha I've yet to kill any CPUs with memory voltage on x58, and I've pushed 2.3V while testing degradation on 32nm with stock VTT (so 1V difference instead of the 0.5V max recommended) and 2.1V while testing my memory for CL6. VTT I've yet to really push on ambient (since well, LN2 is a thing), but I haven't seen any short term degradation even at 1.5V for 32nm. 45nm I've barely tested with higher voltage on normal ambients since my good chips are BCLK limited anyways.
My good E5649 for example needs about 1.4V VTT for 2600c8 on triple channel BBSE on normal ambient and has no issues running hyper at 2200 6-7-6 at around the same VTT.
4.83/1.43V is really nice for R15 btw, I think I only have 2 32nm chips that should just barely match that (E5649 4.76/1.4V, E5640 4.78/1.4V).

Wish I could figure out why my X58A-UD3R will not post with any 6 core Xeon. Ehh ! Nice issue ! :/ Have You try any 5600 serie 4 cored in it ? I mean if it has problem with 6 core thing or the 5600 serie simply ?

It's a 6 core thing. Runs fine on any 4 core, Xeon or otherwise. I do not have a 6 core non Xeon to narrow it down more. 980X is still expensive here.

Wish I could figure out why my X58A-UD3R will not post with any 6 core Xeon. what version board do you have? What Bios are you running?
980x ran fine in mine..
I have a v2.0 board

It's a 2.0 and on I believe the latest bios. Bios didn't seem to make a difference. I've tried a half dozen different ones.

5660, 5675 I believe both are 95w processors, so it's not a 130w problem. Besides, I can run a 130w X975 no problem.

Could be something around qpi lanes or (if there is) maybe some ecc connection to mems. Maybe it worth to see the pin layout if any 32nm 5600's has some different ones or reserved connections. Or ! Something else could be cause it. :DDD Mp ability with the plus qpi lane has to get some unique pins I think but hard to imagine it could ignoring even a post. :/

Could be something as stupid as a board glitch even. Pisses me off though because I see others with the same board running these. Both my other X58 boards run everything I throw at them.

I sold my tr4 systems and got two r710's for a quarter of the price and it is the best choice I have made. The dual 5650's worked better than a 1950x

Using Cine 2003 to compare systems, nice. Considering this bench was made for single-core or dual singles w/ HT you'll find the scoring to be just a bit skewed when you throw 12c/24t at it. At least use R11.5 or R15 since they can actually use all the cores.

R15 -1920X TR gets roughly 2800 @ 4.3 2X 5675's gets roughly 2000 @ the same 4.3
It was just a comparison. 10 year old system vs. current gen, that's all.

Speaking of LGA1366 Xeons, is the X5675 fully unlocked or only up to x26 (turbo multi, I'm guessing, stock is x23)?

I see many validations with CPU Multi at x26 so I wanted to know. there's a Xeon X5675 for AUS$35 on FB market local to me. The 35nm has got to be btter than the 45nm Quad core W3570 I have here that has so far been underwhelming.

not sure how they've done that. 1366 was my main CPU of choice and I've had none of them OC in the turbo ratio. only ever the max ratio which is usually -1 from CPU-Z Max
