Whether it overheats or not would be the only questionmark but so far it's been doing OK. Once she gets to using it will tell the story and if it does, I'll get to use my new toy to deal with it.

I'm sure it'll be fine. The person that sold it probably thought the switch was off while in the on position. - & 0 may be difficult for some people lol.

Probrably so and found another listing along the same lines. I have enough of them to mess around with and as long as at least one works I'm good here.

Ive only had the original play station. Played sim city. Would get a positive income and leave it going for hours on end while at work or sleeping. Was a very stable system actually. Never had a problem with it.

Figured out how to fix a PS3 stuck in an update loop. That means it's trying to update the system firmware but can't finish it for some reason and it keeps rebooting, then trying to do it all over again repeatedly.
It was showing the error code 8002F1F and stopping around 47% of the update being done.
After doing some research I spotted a potential solution that said the wireless/USB port module could cause it if the wireless part of it is bad so I swapped it out for a spare I had. The system finished the update and now works fine.

No, it's connected with a ribbon cable you can easily remove and is held in place by a few screws. You do have to take the lid off, remove the unit's PSU and HDD cage and just move the BR drive over a bit to get to it but that's nothing. I can probrably do a module swap from start to finish in under 10 minutes if I wanted to - It's that easy.
