The 212 is very adaptable. I've used it on stuff from slot processors to current gen. As far as water benching goes, cheap pump and some cheap tube is all you'll need to get the ice water going. You're package will have a rad I had left and a waterblock that is adaptable to almost any board. Even a cheap C-clamp is enough to mount it to bench with. Don't use any of your daily stuff to bench with. You'll hate yourself when you blow it up......and you will. I forgot to ask will I need fittings? this way I can price some

Probably not. I'm pretty sure they're already on everything. If not, I have them.

For chilled water, don't even bother. You don't really need to monitor temp until you get to the single stage/dice/LN2 phase.

dont waste your money on cheap meters, ive had 3 of em, i couldve bought decent with the cost of the 3, Decent = Fluke or one of the other renowned brands. The cheap ones like I have got here do the job for quick voltage measurements though. Fluke will be my next temp meter.

Tec's are only good with the smallest of CPU's like socket 7 Any decent CPU might idle at -20 or lower with a tec but once you get them under load it will be back into the + range and overpowering the Tec. You would be much better with something like this. Old window aircon's you should be able to scrounge one for nothing or next to it. warp9-systems.proboards.com/thread/104/using-unit-cool-water-loop

the AC unit is a bit of work. easier if you find one where the evap lines are at the top (line mine) vs. the bottom. great temps. whole thing can be had for under $200 (AC unit, blocks, cooling bits) Highly recommended.

See some P5B subs if you are not using SetFSB might give it try to adjust FSB in Windows looks like PLL CY28551LFXC is the one to use per site. Also pickup Memset (tweakers.fr)so you can play with memory timing.

Yep, mis-advertised but still a good set to have. I won a set just like these last week and they have been pretty good, runs as said on the label with the indicated voltage and then some. I can also run the same with 6-6-6-24 timings at 800MHz too.
Like my AMD Blacks they do stop somewhere around the 935 - 945 mark no matter what I do but they can run with fairly tight timings up to that point, actually tighter than my AMD Blacks could handle.

The best DDR3 to have for AMD platform is G.Skill PI's. Extremely rare. 2x2gb, clocked 2000 / 6-6-6, 1.65V. Bought on the fly a set from Tapakah ( Sam OCX ) of three sticks ( 3x2gb ) for 40 Euros + shipping for my Gigabyte 990FX-UD5 and FX-9590. According to Tapakah, they are so good that they can do 2600 / 6-8-6 with 1.95V on air. Have not verified that yet.
Considering that, the listing on eBay is ridiculous for 2x2gb 1600 at 37 Euros.

This is the 1600Mhz version. Easier to find. I am talking about 2000Mhz from the factory - 2600 over clocked. Night and day.
