zila1: What an absolute gift AM4 is. My setup is not quite 4K but close enough. This monitor is just gorgeous. Still after two years has that "Wow Factor". The only thing I would do at this point would be to increase ram to 64GB and maybe, maybe the graphics card Jun 7, 2024 11:46:51 GMT -5
zila1: Well, it's been a couple of years now since I purchased and put together my Crosshair VIII Hero Wifi/5950X Rig. Powercolor RX 6900 XT Red Devil and purchased the LG 38GN95B-B. Crucial Ballistix 3600MHz CL16 32GB. I am still absolutely in love with this rig Jun 7, 2024 11:43:37 GMT -5
austin86: Anyone need a GTX 285? I have one that I knocked a supper tinny SMD off the core when I was deliding it. it works still but idk how well, cover shipping and the card is yours. will not come with a heat sink. Jun 6, 2024 13:03:20 GMT -5 *
austin86: anyone need free money lol found this site 2 years back and been making a good bit of side money just singing up for bank accounts and turning around and closing them after I get the bonuses www.doctorofcredit.com/best-bank-account-bonuses/ Jun 4, 2024 13:42:33 GMT -5
austin86: Early TT fittings were strong stuff. The 1/4 ID 3/8 OD koolance compression fitting held up fine other then the compression part not being able to hold the tube in place. Oddly the fittings it came with are Aluminum so brass should be better. IDK Jun 4, 2024 13:40:45 GMT -5 *
ShrimpBrime: lol 100psi is a lot for any water cooling fittings. Bet my old Thermal take compression fittings could handle it though. Jun 4, 2024 13:03:29 GMT -5
austin86: so I garbed some 3/8 fitting from my stash and was good to go lol. only time will tell if my old XSPC fittings can handle 100+ PSI lol, koolance compressions cant lol, the tube blew right out of the fitting Jun 4, 2024 9:42:46 GMT -5 *
austin86: But whats really odd is that the setup uses g1/4 fittings. I took the fitting off to get some more typical size fittings thinking it would be tapered 1/4 npt or something. Nope, stampeded on the housing is g-1/4, and the fittings have have o-rings too. Jun 4, 2024 9:42:20 GMT -5 *
austin86: Bought a pneumatic can crusher a ways back and the fittings that came with it were for some rather odd size tubing and were push to connect crap. at a working PSI 100-150 PSI... leaks anyone? Jun 4, 2024 9:40:11 GMT -5 *
Aleslammer: Scary see a lot of older desirable hardware getting scraped out, already hard to find something's. May 26, 2024 3:41:24 GMT -5
austin86: holy cow e-scrap prices are crazy right now. 26$ a lb for ram and 50$ and lb for gold fingers. May 25, 2024 12:02:45 GMT -5
Mr.Scott: storage will be back on Tuesday. Didn't realize we were full. May 19, 2024 9:06:41 GMT -5
ShrimpBrime: HAHA, spectacular idea. Acetal. Hmmm, gets me wondering! May 17, 2024 14:07:00 GMT -5
austin86: thanks, I'll look into it too May 17, 2024 9:44:16 GMT -5 *
dr4g00n: Acetal is also great for that. It costs a bit more than acrylic but it's much nicer to drill and tap holes into for fittings and it doesn't get stress fractures like acrylic. May 17, 2024 9:14:37 GMT -5
austin86: TBH I rather work with brass as its less messy then acrylic but acrylic is way cheaper. May 17, 2024 8:36:32 GMT -5
ShrimpBrime: It would be easier than making acrylic for sure. May 16, 2024 17:13:25 GMT -5
austin86: I did think about getting a brass/copper or stainless plate and making a top like what you stated. I might have one setting around out in the scrap pile. May 16, 2024 8:20:21 GMT -5 *
ShrimpBrime: I have a custom block that has a steel plate with barbs brazed on. (As an idea for ya) May 15, 2024 23:29:39 GMT -5
