Try em all and see what it likes. I know my TridentX 2666 C10 run like a busted ass in 775. But in Haswell they run good. Ram can be horses for courses yea I got GSkill Ripjaws V DDR4 2400mhz in my main rig and I feel like it just doesnt like to OC I try to set it to 2666mhz and it says no sir dunno I think I should be able to get more then 2400mhz outta it but I dont fuck with it too much cause its my main rig that I use everyday but it could be the fact I also run 32 gigs of the shit lmao I can say one thing tho I love my X99 rig I can start it up get to the desktop and start opening whatever and it dont stutter one bit lol my wifes i5 760 you gotta wait a min for it to load everything not this damn beast lol I cant wait for time to pass so X99 is cheaper and I can do crazy OC with this stuff I got a decent chip it does 4.7ghz at 1.4v but I run it at 4.5ghz at 1.25v I have hit 4.9ghz with 1.45v but that is only enough to validate the sub and I never tried to bench it that high cause when I run CB15 at 4.7 it hits 81c with the aio so I dont push it past 4.6ghz most the time I try not to push my X99 that shit was expensive as hell $350 just for the CPU and I got it on sale its back to $390 so I dont push my luck lol right now with 775 tho I fell like little things are keeping me from getting just that little bit better score on some of these benches like memory adjustments or slight pll and FSB adjusts and I know I been screwing up with mem voltages cause I didnt even factor in for vdroop in the vdimm and I been just setting it at 1.5v or 1.8v 2.1v whatever it called for without checking in the bios or taking the measurements manually Im starting to figure things out slowly

My 5960X I can get 3200mhz out of the memory on both boards Soc Champion and REV I have got a set of Ripjaws 3000 Cas15 and a set of tridentX 3700 Cas17 D die To get more takes a lot of memory tweaking 3400 is about the best you will see from Haswell E

already a better board went from 480 FSB with my Q8200 up to 510 easy love this board already the Xeon was being kinda weird so I installed the Q8200 to install windows really glad you guys suggested a gigabyte mobo I am running the DDR3 1333 Corsair I mem I got I had to slow it down to get the 510 FSB Im sure if I mess with the mem settings I can get fast speeds while a good OC valid.x86.fr/m2586n

There should be a Chip near the mem with a PL number. That's the number you enter in SetFSB.

i think the chip has ICS on it then the PLL number, its the chip to the left of the NB heatsink, next to the first 2 card slots, i just checked my UD3R, next to where it says 2oz copper pcb

Well what is the number on the Chip Shane ICSwhat? The Chip is where Shane is saying and it will have a Quartz crystal by it (a small chrome oval thing)

I have circled the Clock Generator in red. That is the number you select in SetFSB

Yep it should work if its in SetFSB 2.2 thats the free one. yea that is where I found it on their page and I found it right where you got circled I really like this board so far it was kinda pissing me off at first with the x5450 in it it didnt wanna go at all it would boot up then stop I was starting to think the board was bad but then it started boot looping and not getting to the bios so I swapped CPUs to the Q8200 and installed windows now the Q8200 goes pretty damn good got it up to 510 fsb and the temps were a lot better too the one thing tho when I select 1.62v that mofo jumps up to 1.68v I put it back down to 1.6v and it goes down to 1.602v in the bios I dunno what that is all about I think its cause I turned the load line calibration on maybe?

Load Line Calibration will make the voltage at or higher than what is selected in the bios. I am glad you like it.

Memory wise had no problem with 1st and 2nd gen DDR3 2000 on the 3R but didn't like the current gen above 2000. As for modded BIOS board took all I put in it with the latest available BIOS on the Gigabyte site. Going to be interesting how the DDR2/3 works out.
Thanks Alpi had one for the P5K64 WS, had to hit F1 to boot through on both a 5xxx and 3xxx with the 5xxx being a little finicky in Windows.
