I got a legacy vista driver from 2010, Im having difficulty getting Catalyst Control center to launch, I manually installed the driver through device manager and it is for sure a Radeon x1200. Any clues? Using the 10-2_legacy_vista32-64_dd_ccc.exe driver
Can't say for sure, I don't mess with too much mobile stuff, but generally there's only 1 good driver. I'd look to Toshiba for a driver, see what they used back then.
Hey man with the laptop being from 2008, i got the driver itself to install, just ccc wont launch and i went through the package, the files were ms installers for the ccc.
Before this installation did you run DDU for graphics driver removal? Especially if you did not wipe it since he had it, could be throwing a wrench into things

Fyi he is the one who put 10 on it to mess with it, and he is the one who got me into computers in 1999. I just did a system restore point so i may try ddu then use the same vista package again. I noticed there is no .net libraries, i may need them... Oh i just compared the driver on the dynabook website (owns Toshiba Satellite now) the driver is actually older for W7 and looks like a stand alone with no ccc to it... Here is the specs. support.dynabook.com/support/modelHome?freeText=2059342&osId=3333619

Right click the exe installer, more options, properties, compatibility with xp or 7.
After the installation completes, do the same for the run exe of CCC and any accompanying ATI apps that would start up with windows. Put all that compatible xp or 7.
Should be good to go after that.

I second this. Also 'Run as Administrator" even if you are logged in as admin... it's like Windows version of sudo.

Well ccc still failed to launch, i tried using catalyst 12.6 drivers for 7, they do not contain the .inf for X1200 line, but it did install the vision engine center but was still missing stuff, tried using the driver from the 10-2s installer, os would crash, so i manually installed it. Something interesting happened because before i used 12.6 i used ccleaner to remove all ati remnants and then deleted both ati and amd folders, then used the 12.6 driver pack, above, then removed it deleted the amd folder then ram 10-2 from inside the ati folder with windows 7 compatibility and now it works. W10 is weird I swear.
On another Note, GPU-Z can detect the device id and subsystem ID but cant read beyond that to get a bios dump, ATI Tray Tools cant read the bios either. And MSI afterburner has no means of adjusting clock sliders. So Im presuming that on this laptop the Mobility Radeon X1200 is an IGP with no dedicated bios eeprom of its own.
