Thanx . Will give it a go when I get home from work. If you can, could also use drivers for XP-32bit & WIN-10 64bit 197.45 for XP W10, no idea. Don't think SLI was ever supported in W10....was it? Thanx for the driver. Yes win-10 supports SLI, not sure whats the earliest graphics generation for SLI support. But I will say I have found a lot of win-7 drivers work perfectly fine on win-10 when there is no official win-10 driver available for XxX GPU.

All Nvidia cards after 400 series that have sli capability are supported under win 10 with ribbon bridge. The question is if the board supports SLI. If it does, no problem. Yes it supports SLI. Maximus IX Apex

Maximus IX Apex Visit Nvidia website. Choose card generation. Choose OS. Press search. The most recent whql driver will be available. Download and install after you have finished the HW installation with 2 X cards and ribbon sli. Upon reboot SLI will be activated automatically. Install MSI afterburner 4.6.4 for OC. Use Nvidia Inspector for optimizations. Enjoy Frank

In some W10 versions, I have been unable to enable SLI due to SearchUI.exe , & ShellExperienceHost stopping NVIDIA Control Panel. Don't like linking to Reddit when I can help it, but Frank if you come across this issue, this has worked in the past: www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/3btxol/cant_switch_to_sli_since_10159_two_blocking_apps/cspsypf?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3

Thank you both... I know how to search n download drivers as well as how to SLI... Basically The subject is How to SLI cards that were not intended for SLI by nvidia that have been SLIed by others. I will change the thread title. <This run done by S_A_V just 1 example. Amongst other pairs of cards I have am currently working with a %100 matched pair of 8400 GS (G86) I have to find the right combination of GPU driver, OS version and DifferentSLIauto. Although it will most likely be on XP or WIN-7 if I'm lucky. Asked about win-10 as a possible option. Even though the Maximus IX Apex supports SLI/X-fire I will be setting up an X58 board Rampage III Formula and go from DDR4 to DDR3. Just Fishing To many this may seem as a waste of time n energy, but I myself like doing the odd ball/out of the box stuff. Like the number of server platforms I own. How many do know own n run Dual socket 479? ODD BALL shit

No issues later.

The board does its Maximus IX Apex I think the cards dont support it. On HWBot there are only 6 subs or so with 2 cards one fella has it working with a 775 Nvidea chipset board the other is on X58 I think it was he has 2 cards in but SLI is disabled in GPUz. I think it will be a miracle if he gets it working but that is probably where I would start is with a Nvidea chipset board.

Poof enable sli shows up . Would have liked to have been able to run em on a more modern platform to run at min a 8c/16th or better cpu with DDR4 or DDR3, but since no body really runs NON-SLI intended cards I shouldn't have too much competition . For now any way I have quite a few sets of NON-SLI intended cards.
