windows 11? Heck I'm still using 7 on my PC at home. Granted its a rather stripped and shell swapped install. Id switch to 10/11 in a heart beat if it has proper scaling for high DPI modes and did not update when ever it feels like it. I had 10 on it and even with updates set not to auto install via GP it still did and rebooted when it felt like it. Heck at work we have a server running server 2019 and eve with a GP rule that updates only install at 11pm on Sundays it still sometimes installs updates mid day and takes exchange down. ltsb is nice but still has the scaling problems with high DPI modes. I didn't have enough info in December to get a copy of 7 Pro/Enterprise. The Owner still uses optical media, I do as well. that is f-up... but reality.. how many new PC's comes with optical drives nowadays? You need to think of the demographic it was intended.. M$ didn't intend for this OS to be released/used on anything except brand new HW. The only PC I have that I could even think of putting that OS on doesn't have an optical drive. Vin Lol. There is no 10 or 11 on anything I own. I have 1 SSD with a W10 benching OS on it and that's all I use it for. Irony is that I will be shelling this build and screwing with gpedit.msc to turn off bs. Other than this oddity the OS runs stable and fast, just trying to remove clunkiness of the GUI.

just trying to remove clunkiness of the GUI. I run com emu and far mangier in place of the explorer on my PC. There are other windows shell replacements as well if you want to completely change the UI

I have a dumb question. If I would delete my activated W10->W11 install after the 30d "trial", when the built-in rollback period already passed.
Then installing W10 as a "new" install on the same rig, would it still activate on my previous W10 license?

Almost forgotten this since been using W10 for so long. The other day fired up my old s939 system with W7, crystal clear display in 2D as compared with the experience I sometime seen with W10.

Its worse on a CRT. I play a lot of older games and like having one around. All the icons a are way to small when running at 1200p or higher, when I rise the DPI settings I get the blurry windows bug. Not sure why that is a problem in 10, 7 never had that problem no matter how high the DPI settings are.

W11 is annoying, you cant even drag n drop shortcuts (a klingon from 10).
I may just get another MX500 drive, drop 7 on it and dump 11 if I cant turn off automatic driver updates or forced windows updates.

A bit on the subject. From what I read yesterday, one has 10 days to decide whether to stay on W11 or roll back to W10. After 10 days W10 stuff is being removed so can not revert.
