Guys, I've updated the form to include screenshots with the F@H Client for clarity, and I figured out how to add descriptions. Have a look and tell me what you think. Hey Guys, my son helped me setup a google form. it's an easy way to enter the data
Here is what the DB looks like filled out. it adds the timestamp for us. I made all entries required except for the username.
I also added a TPF because there is a way to cross check the estimated ppd and I might see if I can incorporate that in the forms backround.
Let me know what you think, I'll manually add the older entries to add to this list.
Vin
EDIT: Next I'll start working on an output sheet that will average by certain sort parameters

what are you thinking?

I don't have a desk top right now and I don't think my Inspiron 11 3180 with an A6-9220e is going to be able to do much but my girlfriend is going to be building a new computer soon and might get a 5600xt

Ah, thanks Vin. I'd done it, but it would be my first time. No I've never used a form for anything, mostly just view them lol.

Vinster, Liking the spreadsheet setup. I've made a few SS's that will be added latter today. Thanks, it was my Son that recommended the Google Forms. He's 12... Fuck it's the VCR clock thing.. lol... now I know how mom and dad felt
So the spreadsheet doesn't format itself (Center the text), I have to do that manually right now, it is changing the colour of the GPU type though, so a win there.
I'm starting to think about how to script it to do the counting and averaging of each score. I'll gladly take any help or suggestions there if anyone is interested.

Don't mind if you see odd entries in the google cheets, I'm testing an automatic trigger for my scripts. Vin
EDIT: It works... i small step... So on entry, when anyone clicks the submit button, on entry it will now center the form sheet. So us looking at it will look normal now and not half skewed.

Now I think I know why the Form and Data View over at Overclock.net for F@H is no longer working / people can't add to it anymore (easily).
I think it's because google updated a bunch of their add-on's and I think they were using an Analytical Add-on... I started look at a few hoping they would simplify my task but then started seeing complaints that a lot of them were no longer supported or no longer worked. The complains on the ones I wanted to use are as of early to mid 2019, with is about when that table stoppped being updated.
So I think I'll have to long hand script it... but I've figured out triggers now and formatting. So those are now easier.
I'll give you guys updates as I go.

I've got the script for the tab copy and some sorting by GPU and PPD figured out, I have it in a test file. I'll update the main in a week or so.
Next I'll be focusing on the counting of each GPU type, then averaging of each GPU PPD to the count then cropping them to just show 1 GPU per type with the average.
It's coming a long...

I've update the form a bit, included our W9 banner. I'm trying something different. seems gSheets has an extensive function call and scripting is not required, so I'm going to try and get things done without the use of scripts... I'll see how I fare... but enter some data guys... we need to feed the beast...
anytime you see a new project, enter it, if you're not tracking project numbers, have 1 minute, populate the table. it'll help the averages.

Hehe awesome Vin. Looks accurate. If I can this weekend, I'll run a couple of WU with the GTX 980.
Do you think it would be useful to list other system specs on this form?

Maybe just state Intel or AMD and DDR type IE: DDR 2 or 3 ect. Ok, I'll add it. But once I get the scripts running if you sort by PPD those would be hidden as you would only see the average per GPU, what system you use is a wash at that point. Also we might end up hiding the main DB. I'm not sure how that will look yet, I guess we could leave it viewable. Depends on how much work it'll be.

I'd had preferred to keep it in house. but I guess we'll see what we get since it's out there...
the Focus is; We want to purge the list with a separate query to just 1 type of GPU, then able to sort by either GPU or Estimated Max PPD (also including Min/Max) and count the number so submissions for reference.. That's been my focus for now. With all the data we want up front as we can create other Queries later.
and I'm trying to do this without the use of scripts. That's the challenge in this. I could had scripted this easily enough but then when does it trigger, that can get tricky? How is easy, gsheets made that so simple...
Here is how I'm pulling the average;
=query('Form Responses 1'!B:L,"Select C, avg(E) where C is not null group by C label avg(E) 'Average PPD'")
so now I'm figuring out how to nest the queries to do Min/Max as well (currently separate)... work in progress
I'll stop for now and see what that inquiry over at LTT does... I don't want to put anymore time on this if someone there, just goes.. here you go... It's a DB, so I want to treat it like one.
keep us updated

Well I had thought 3 users data input is moot for averages. I could just simply ask what your PPD looks like cause it's you me Brad, the neighbor and Frank on cpu cores. There's really not a ton of information to work with, so stupidly without asking (I'm sorry), I put it out there.
If people do fill in the form, your only part in it would be running the scripting or.... just leave it like it is now to keep it easy and simple?
Anyhow, I don't know a great deal about the charting system you're trying to implement. Again, my apologies. I figured users could just simply input their data and that would be that, it seems I under estimate the complication in doing this.
I can remove the thread or close it (ask for it) at LTT if you'd like. Not a big deal to me. I won't be offended.

Vinster They deleted/locked the thread. Said I was advertising, which I can see.... but wasn't my actual intent. I did ask how I could utilize the forum and not advertise. I still think a larger data set would make this additionally informative.

Not to mention we are competition to them - They are one of the top 10 ranked folding teams out there ATM.

Right now it's internal but could grow beyond our borders, I want to plan for bigger. as for the Form, we have all walks of life here, so the form was to simplify entry as well as protect the DB at the same time. I drink, I think I'm really smart when I've had a few drinks, I might be the worst offender here, but people make mistakes.

Thank you for that, I'm all welcome from help internally to our team, but not externally, I don't want a dispute of ownership later, this belongs to W9.
I agree, we need more data entries to form better averages when I get there. I'm hoping to get back to this on the weekend I'll update to show Min/Max/Avg to start. to make it prettier will come after.

Right on Vin. I'll ask next time. Swapped cards and F@H gave me a bunch of trouble. Had to re-install it. Working on getting the second card up and running, used it temporarily in the AMD rig when I swapped all the hardware out. A quick question: If I use one of the cards in the last slot of the motherboard to separate them because of temps, will I see a fall in PPD from the card in the last slot on the board? Or will it not matter. Have an issue with the cards right next to each other, the first card runs 10-15c hotter and that bothers me. I don't want to leave it running in the mid 70c range.

you'd have to try it, I'm only getting 66% usage on a RTX 2080 Super and it's in the 2nd slot, (Runs really cool though) so you may see an effect on that. but it's a matter of trying it. pop it in for a day and see the output.
I wanted to do it last weekend, but hope to this weekend, is to swap the 2080/2060's slots to see what I get. I have them in that config because of temps like you.. so...
