Sure thing.
To touch base on XFR, I've noticed depending on some systems the XFR boost would start high up and down clock to a settled point. So the starting boost may be 4200Mhz all threads and would settle in at 4000Mhz as the temps would raise.
Personally, I find XFR interesting, but not exactly consistant between two rigs or setups. Mine seems to settle in at 4Ghz, while I can maintain a static OC at 4.1Ghz leaving voltages for the processor on automatic.
The best advice is to run memory between 3000 and 4000Mhz and will produce very nice results. The higher the frequency the better.

Rods, will this live on an open bench or in a case?

Case, namely the big one I bought sometime ago for the last big upgrade I did. I do need to get a few fans set in it to help with cooling.

Just take your time. This is the part of a build I love the most. All the little details and tuning in the new hardware. Love it.

Here's what I was talking about Bones. It's not good for much more as is being Gen 1, but using the same Wraith cooler it handles the processors super easy. Start having some higher temps near 1.6v, but it does nothing for the chip. It seeks cold I think. Even at -10c wasn't really getting much better results on the TEC with this one it seems. Need to work my mem clocks a bit though. This is 2666 @ 14-13-13-41-52. Haven't tried higher, but I'll have to loosen these up to do so.

Here's where I have mine at - Don't like the yo-yo'ing of my CPU speed though, need it to stop doing that.
I haven't tried to go any higher with RAM speeds yet but it's running there with 1.27v's set in the BIOS.
EDIT: Make that 1.32v's but it's doing fine and blingy too with these Royals.

Set windows to performance mode. Right click desktop, click screen saver. click change power settings. Steady as she goes.
EDIT:
If you see the Bus clocks dipping hard, add a little v-core. maybe a click or two.
