So I've had to go though a lot in the last 2 month here in my real life, and it has made me think about what is really important to keep and what one should let go of.
I've decided to sell of my rack mount gear... a lot of it is Nikko, holds a special place in my heart for many reasons. But I don't use it anymore... I'm creating this thread for this reason... things you've decided to let go of.... this isn't a [FS] thread. It's just for sharing...
It's going to be hard, but hope who ever buys it, will use it.

I understand Vin. It ain't easy to let of some things. I become attached and then can't seem to let loose of things.

I understand Vin. It ain't easy to let of some things. I become attached and then can't seem to let loose of things. But the issue is... if you don't, your legacy will have too.... That was what I was faced with... I was the executor of an estate and had to clear/throw away/sell/donate an entire house and large property of stuff where the people were there for 43 years... I cried a lot, and still am. Some items I remember as a kid were in great shape but were ruined because of where and how it was stored over the years.... If you were to just stand in one of your rooms, pretend it's not yours for a moment and think of your kid having to clear it out... That feeling of anxiety and moment of "holly shit" needs to be your drive to do something about it. They won't have the same sentiment you had, and could take them a very long time to do. I'm not talking about, dump all your gear... I mean clear/sell out what you KNOW you will never use again, and that item that's broken that you "want" to fix, sell as parts or toss it. Little goes a long way... Vin

Sorry, but one must think of their property after their passing and think whos' responsibility it would be to liquidate... I was fortunate, I didn't need to sell the items to pay for the funeral. but that is some peoples reality.
