Whooo, changed my desk around so that it isn't so stupidly tight for my benching area... So happy. Sure, it doesn't have a window right there behind it anymore, but oh well. Has its own dedicated monitor, and no weird angles while benching. It's also on a separate circuit from my gaming rig, so if I want to do some of those hour long benches.... I can!

Whoooo, gonna take that slowest rig title off your hands bones... Just need to do a few more things first (like run a few more benches on this chip). ...Okay, so taking that title will be "easy" with an E7300, but I'm hoping to be swapping over to my 3770k at some point (just want to do some more stuff with this E7300 first since it's already on the bench)

Just be sure like myself you're actually trying for more than last to make it officially legit.

Oh, I'll be putting on as good of a show as I can. I just happen to have the E7300 in there, and then I think afterwards plan is QX6850, Q9300, and then... I dunno, some other LGA 775 chip in the mobo. Or maybe I'll pull the EP45T-Extreme for a bit and slap the Maximus V Formula in with it's 3770k.
Either way, this weekend I'm very much so giving the new to me DIMMs a whirl, and definitely intending on pushing past that 3k team power points goal.
Now if only I could figure out why GPU Pi v3.3 crashes instantly when trying to run with any form of HWinfo running.

GPUPI 3.3 doesnt like old systems we had that problem in the teams cup just run it with HWinfo disabled.

That prize is amazing, I will do token placeholders at least just to get a shot at the goods!!
One question: Can I use current generation ES CPU's??

OK, thanks, I might come with a big chip if its ok I guess more what I meant is that if I submit with top ES Intel or AMD chips that I didn't pay for, many people might see it as negative.

Yeah, I had to run 3.3 Legacy to get results for mine. Now it's just a case of waiting for some other benches to finish up. Man, some of them take FOREVER....

So, a "silly" question comes to mind, two actually...
- How on earth do you pull off the offline submissions for y-cruncher? I click create datafile, and it does nothing. Is it similar to Geekbench4 (and 3DMark), where you save the raw data (so in this case, the screenshot and runfile) and then use a computer with an internet connection to send it to HWBot? - If I were to use my gaming rig, am I allowed to crop the images down, or do I have to put the whole 5760x1080 image in there? If I have to go with the triple screens (no, I'm not unplugging them, it takes waaaay too long to get surround re-configured, even with DisplayFusion), how do I post a smaller pic to the forum that can be clicked to get the full image?

1: There is a Jar runtime in the HWBot version that allows upload at a latter time plus other things.
2: No problem with cropping out one screen from the three, IrfanView works well and has good resolution adjustments all so. Generally speaking on a cropped image you loose the task bar which helps with OS ID.
Added, implied but not mentioned rules.
On older hardware all the benches are affected by the W8/10 timer problem so stuck with XP / W7. last couple of Gen Intel W10 is ok to my understanding. AMD not sure of but if something gets sub'd I'm sure I'll hear about it.

By the looks of it what happened is it wasn't stable enough to create the datafile, since the exact same folder of software had no issue on my gaming rig.
Love how I'm on there with 5th and 8th placings as of writing this ^_^
I'm rather curious as to how things will look once I swap the 3770k over, which is probably going to be my next CPU since I'm getting this urge to do 3D benching pretty hard. I swear it's totally not related to all the (effectively placeholder) 3D subs I've been doing today on the gaming rig... *whistles innocently*

Well now.... Here's hoping I can get even closer to Bones' scores. Kind of fun to be seeing what I can do, and seeing if I can somehow hang in there with a few generations ahead of me.
GPU Pi 3.3 will be the big slowdown though, since 64-bit doesn't run on the 3770k for some reason!
