Tried to fire up the second 780 Ti but it didn't like that too much, get's too hot and becomes unstable. My case is not set up for good air flow.

I cheat the airflow thing... Side panel is off almost all of the time...
Something about BOINC on CPU, and Folding@Home on GPU (or I suppose gaming too).
That and the side panel on a Phantom 820 isn't anywhere near as cool as I thought it was when I got it new...

BIONIC works great with GPU's as well.. that's how I used to crunch in the day... granted yes it was just CPU when I started, but then they added AMD GPU support and that took off a bit for me..

I won the 970 so once it gets here and I fix it should be ready to do some folding. What I have assigned ATM I'll finish then wait until that card gets here before I start again, will also have to see the amount of the power bill to see if I can continue.

I get billed Monthly so I'll see the impact in Jan.

Aww Vin I thought you had found your niche here and you and Jon were going to be the head of W9 folding. Now I find that its only a short stint.

Btw....
We blew away the 4mil expectation by Dec 25th... Another 7 days of nearly 2mil days... Crazy amount of points... and look at that position growth

Vin Yeah... POEM@Home sort of became my "home" GPU project, but that eventually closed... Einstein@Home sort of took over, but GPUGrid is the "main" one. Eventually, I'd love to build a 2xGTX 1060 6GB rig, and have one card doing BOINC stuff, while the other does Folding@Home... But even then, I'd be dialling things back in the summer, at least until I got a MO-RA3 for it, so I could then just stick that in the window, and blow the heat outside! I cheat the airflow thing... Side panel is off almost all of the time... Something about BOINC on CPU, and Folding@Home on GPU (or I suppose gaming too). That and the side panel on a Phantom 820 isn't anywhere near as cool as I thought it was when I got it new... Can't do that because of the cat unfortunately since he has to stick his nose in everything. Simple solution: Get rid of cat. Rig doesn't need a stinkbox (litter box) either, AND it doesn't track the gravel in said litter box all over the place either! Good boy, Mr. Compy! Either that or leave a fan exposed along the side... Cat will probably back off after the paintful DZZZT! of the blades making contact a few times... This, of course, was totally tongue in cheek...

Vin I'll have the GPU based unit done by morning I hope and that line will get even steeper.
As said earlier I'll have to stop until the "New" card comes in. Once I get it up and running (Fixed) I'll give it a shot and see what it can do.
Bought the card the same way I got the 5870, for parts or repair. All that's wrong with it according to the seller was a cap got knocked off and they didn't want to mess with it, they did say it was working but when they went to remove it from the machine it was in is when the cap got knocked off.
E-Z fix for sure.
Bad thing is some "D" drove the price up a bit and it actually cost me more than the OCF board did.

Dont' over do the folding Rod. I don't want to hear about your electric bill!! 200 watts at the wall adds up rather quickly. If you can power down other things around the house to compensate, try to when you can.

Well I've been doing the Cpu cores mainly in the browser. Quick and easy and a lot less power draw. It may take me a long time to accumulate 4 million points, But I'm 10 years deep in folding already so time is not an issue.

I'm amazed with the new GPU's and their power... I currently have 4.5 Million points running with Warp9... I pulled 3.5 Million points when I was with 411 Overkill and those points took me nearly 4-5 years... I remember pulling 15K/Day and was amazed by the progress... Now that's done in minutes... in under a week I did more than the years prior... new tech is freaking amazing.
and we are 2,100 positions away from getting individual stats on F@HEO... We've climbed 2600 positions in 3 days... the hill is going to start getting steeper... but still.... wow.

The hill is getting quite steep. I've been having issues. I haven't been pulling my weight these last few days and the team needs your help to make up my slack.
We need to push that line!!!

I stole the GTX 770 from the HTPC. Just fired it up. 1.48% completion and 7 hours and 13 minutes to go before completion. The card is pulling 152w average... But fan full out runs nice and cool 99% load at only 45c. Thats good Looking at 119K ppd. This will average out over the next few work units.

we got a nice bump last night with a 3 hour 300k slice. I'm leaving for 4 days. I'm leaving the rig on and going. as long as it don't kack in my absence, it's good for 1.4-1.6mil/day.
