Wild compo, I like 175% WOW, that's pretty insane stuff. It could be fun to break it into categories like CPU/GPU/MEM too, subbed for sure

Had some fun, however this e2140 hit a fsb wall of 421, no matter how high i tweak vcore, nb voltage, fsb voltage, sb, dram, gtl etc... Couple years ago i had a much better e2140 that made almost 155% 4.1ghz, but it died last year. Casanova/e2140/icewater/1600mhz/3366.49mhz/ hwbot.org/submission/3991916_ /110.41%

Would that make it overly complicated?
by XMAS, I hope to have done something in this comp... traveling for work a lot.

I'll have to find it later today if I have time but will get around to setting up my Geode before this is over.
Have some work being done to the house and that will temporarily put a hold on any benching, hoping it's all done by the middle of next week.

I hope the CPU I ordered for this (wanted it for a while and just now went through actually getting one) arrives in time for the comp. If it doesn't I have another idea but that won't be quite as fast as I'm would expect from the CPU I ordered... Its gonna be 1156 or 1366 depending on if it arrives

Up to you of course - However I will say expect to see 100% or better as a norm, may even see a few 200%+ results before it's over with.

There is a chinese overclocker nickname wytiwx that performed more than 300% in a celeron i think.

I wont be subbing this anymore board is dead tightened up the NB pot too tight. Could go for 200% with the Geode yet.

Lewis (Obscure Paradox) has done over 300%. I believe it - And would not be suprised if he did pop in with such a run. Sorry to hear you lost one Mac.

is it even worth competing? my best will be like 70% on my 7920X :3 Always worth it. We do it here for the fun of it more so than getting points at HWBot and trophies and such. However, occasionally there are prizes that go along with the comp. If I hold the comp, it's usually not a "special" prize or anything, but it does help encouragement. I also try to do quick easy comps mostly so people don't have to go out of their way just to run a bench. Am always open to suggestions and questions too! Don't be shy to help me tweak in house comps.

It's always worth having some fun and giving it a whirl anyways! ^_^ I'm usually at the bottom of the list. Nothing wrong with such. Enjoying overclocking is what it's all about after all! ...Assuming my new Switch doesn't take up all my time this weekend, I strongly suspect my benching rig is being cleaned up, and fired up again. I want to see what I can pull off for this particular competition ^_^

Oh I do enjoy overclocking. I stopped grinding some moons back because it seemed that I was destroying a lot of good hardware. I became discouraged for quite a while. Nobodys fault but my own. For some reason I always try to go to the extremes while here I can take it easy and I do try to submit here and there at the bot. Even recently I've broken a couple of motherboards, so it seems my not so good luck has thus far followed me to this point in time.
My bench rig is set up with an Athlon II for this comp. I honestly just been trying to relax lately as being pounded with work is taking it's toll on me. Nothing like putting in easy 60+ hours every week. Now the one thing I need to pick up tomorrow is some thermal paste. Then I can fire up some clocks. I used the last of what I had trying liquid vs air cooling with my 2700X. Since I don't have a good mount for my water blocks, I wasn't getting a good seating with the AM4 socket, so I decided to scrap the liquid cooling route while my temps didn't seem to be doing any better than the air cooler, but also at the time afraid to push beyond 1.5v to get them better clock speeds.
But what fun it is to watch read and learn from everyone that participates!! That's what I always look forward to.

Can't wait to see what you can pull off Shane. I've seen your overclocks, you can do some pretty high numbers.
