Saw some posts online that you can get Agena & Kuma and 1066 memory working with a beta bios , anyone know if this is true? im currently running a x2 6400+

Supposedly, but I've never seen any hard proof. Just a lot of hearsay. GL finding a live link to that bios.

I was always under assumption that if the board supported Brisbane, It'll support Kuma/Agena.
The easiest way to find out is to get a Kuma dual core and try it. If it doesn't post, it won't hurt anything but to try.

Ok so after hours of digging yesterday i found the rev 26 bios flashed it and it works. however i noticed a few things... CPU's Tested Athlon II 7550 - Posts Athlon II 7750 BE - Wont Post (Got 2 neither worked) Phenom x4 9150e- Posts but only 2 cores enabled Multiplier adjustment has been removed from the bios all together 1066 Memory worked but was very unstable random BSODs Detecting wrong TDP for kuma CPUs 2 cores so yeah this is rev 26 , 30 is the latest and doesn't support any of these CPUs above so i guess they gave up on the idea of getting it working, anyway will link the bios if anyone wishes to use it Beta - DFI_LANPARTYUTNF590SLIM2RG_bios2007_12_26 R....zip (336.44 KB) Latest - DFI_LANPARTYUTNF590SLIM2RG_bios20070530.zip (382.72 KB)

Yeah AMD was coming to a point of releasing their own chipsets starting with AM2-AM3+ and implementing a SLI bridge on the mobo.
There could be a bios black list too, also have you tried those 2 non working chips in another board? PS the highest chip that board seemed to support was an X3, all others it would drop back, by the Way Kuma is Agena X4 with 2 cores disabled.

Wish I knew this from the start. The 6400+ is probably faster than all of those. I know for sure it's memory latency spanks the piss out of the three listed above and on the right cooling would probably be good for 3.4ghz to 3.6ghz.

Yeah both work in a biostar board and Oc to around 3.2ghz I used to run it at that with a 9800gt till I upgraded / downgraded to the lanparty nf590. Started out with a x2 4400+ then got the x2 6400+ currently have it running at stock undervolted 1.375v with a 8800gtx ....I know it's overkill and bottlenecked . I bought this board to specifically run 2x8800gts in SLi but I got sent a xfx 8800GTX XXX Edition by accident. Ps I have the processor undervolted as this board has something wrong with the VRMS or temp readout , soon as it hits 70c it shuts off even if cpu is cold , got a hyper tx3 on it.

The 7750 BE is on par @3-3.2ghz with the 6400+ Well in cinebench anyway , but I definitely prefer the older gen Windsors speaking of memeory latency my DFI board only works with a duel Chanel kit of OCZ ATI Crossfire memory @4-4-4-12 all my other kits (corsair xms2, xms2DHX,Crucial Ballistix) just give me the C1 error. I don't think this board got the love it deserved many bios errors for example ram voltage is sometimes repeated twice or goes like this 1.92v,1.94v,1.93v. This board does something scarry when the battery is low when saving cmos reloaded it will save everything with the highest setting e.g. Volts. I don't think it would be happy with booting on 3v on the dimms

Can't save profiles on DFI boards. It corrupts the bios. That's probably causing a few issues already. I'd re-flash it. DFI's are battery whores. Battery needs to 2.9v minimum, otherwise weird shit happens.

I've heard of modding BIOSes to support K10 but never tried myself. Since it's Award, you might want to update AGESA code which is responsible for CPU detection. I have this board somewhere but won't have time for such fun.
