I had the Dewars filled today Just about ready for my first nitrogen run tomorrow. I am running the FX8350 I think it should be easy with no cold bug but I dont expect any earth shattering runs this is just so I can get the feel for it. I will ring my sidekick in a minute I know he wants to come and watch.

Thanks Guys No worries Kotori smokey photo it is. You are right there Chris them 2 Dewars cost me over a $1000 but the Aus Dollar is only worth 72 US cents at the moment. In July I am going to buy a GTX1080 they are $699 there I am sure they will be over a thousand here it sucks sometimes. Here is a pic of the board I took the Mosfet/NB heatsinks off and smeared Vaso all down there I vaso it from the top of the board down to the GPU slot and from the rear panel IO to the memory slots then I put paper towel down between the memory slots put the memory in and more paper towel between the memory hopefully it will be good enough to give me a good run. .

good luck pete i have to decant that stuff at work for occasional cryotherapy (read : zapping skin lesions) and it scares the **** out of me trying to pour it into a flask from a long handled scoop but it looks excellent when the spill goes into the sink and i feel like a mad scientist

Good Luck!! you will easily see clocks well into the 7ghz range. If your not running at least 2v, you won't get there.
Have FUN!

well, went to petes today and what an eye opener this LN2 is, actually couldnt believe it unless i saw it with my own eyes, pete did as usual the excellent insulation prep, the foam pete introduced on CP months ago to everyone works just the same on LN2 as it does on dice from what ive seen at petes place, excellent insulation, i cant beleive how quick LN2 goes, and so cold so quick, but i do now, ive seen it in real time, we had some issues with booting, ram, but pete soon got that sorted, was a great day for me, loved it and even tho it was petes first time at it he was a pro as he is at everything he does when he does it, it was an honour to see it all workin , and when he gets it all sorted his way that he knows what works and what is and whats not, look out the LN2 world, it was really a buzz ,

The first day went Ok the board was temperamental at times though I only got to 6600Mhz, a question for you Jon how much voltage do you give the CPU/NB for big clocks? Overall I was happy with how it went the insulation seemed to work alright although I had to change memory halfway through next time I am going to try the outer pair of memory slots and insulate the first slot the first module is just too close to the Pot. I will test out the outer pair of slots on water when I get it dried out. LN2 is new to me I have only ever seen pics and videos of it I am sure my next runs will be a lot more productive. I think Shane had a good day it was an experience. Here is a couple of pics. The first one is just when we started and gettting the pot down in temp. The second is my sidekick (Shane) adding some nitrogen. And the third is near the end we had it running on and off for 3 hours although at times it didnt want to boot on settings that it had been just running Ok on.

I figured you for a more 'George Costanza' looking guy. lol aaww give it up scotty ffs , i got a full head of hair man, and im better lookin and funnier , not richer tho funny isnt it , we all picture faces of who the actual person is behind doin whatever and we ge this picture in our mind what does he really look like, when pete took that pic i didnt turn around, i knew what he was doin but i was more interested in keepin the ln2 level right than a pic of my dial, you watch , ill bet me arse ill dream of LN2 tonight

@ Scotty, George Costanza I am LMAO I am going to give Skylake and the X5960 runs during the week I am a lot more confident now that I have gotten my feet wet. I had uncertainties before this first run but they have gone now. I will come back to the 8530 after I get them filled again in 2 weeks.

Cpu and nb and ht I leave alone. I only oc the cpu by multiplier for start off runs. Unless Ive used the chip for daily and had time to test stability on liquid, i usually oc from the 1333 divider. Ht and nb 2000 or 1800mhz depending on how much bus frequency your going to use.
Cpu/nb voltage at 1.55v and 1.3 nb core for higher nb clocks. Ht should be at no less than 1.3v should net you 3ghz nb and 4ghz ht. 1000mhz ram 1.65v to 1.85v cas 11 is fine pushing 1200mhz or more.
But for quicker runs. Cpu multi only and lots of core voltage. Starting point on ln2 should be no less than 1.8v
