Wait they refused your forum registration? I find that kinda odd. Mr. Scott is a really big name in the pc overclocking industry. They should be flattered IMO.

I also know you love trucks beer and boobs. I believe that's how we became friends with like interests thats it, so thats been 4yrs and 5 1/2 months now from when i started, no prick over there wanted to help me. they all said upgrade to ddr3 except you shrimp, then i went to cp, i bought a brisbane 6000+, 2x 7700 gpus, got it all fitted then found out the motherboard didnt support the 6000+ even tho it said it did, mightve been the bios in it that didnt , after months of searching for stuff as a newby, ive still got the board and it still works, swollen caps with it, i paid $600 originally for that system , but i was miles away from home with where i was at gosford showground at the computer markets thing they have , then i got him here i dunno how many times at 100$ per visit minimum, with this bloke doin the change over coz i didnt know how but i learnt the hard way, then so i said fuck it i bought the asrock 970 pro3 mobo, fx4130 cpu, and still holds its own in clock speeds, 4 gig of basic crucial ram and 500$ later i had a pc back again and that board still cranks hard too for a pretty basic board as far as trucks, beer n boobs go, ive got no argument there

I learnt about overclocking and importance of cooling after I had left the heatsink off a socket A system I had. Turned the power on and smoked my rig instantly. Called my brother and went shopping. Bought and entire s939 set up that set me back an entire paycheck and then some. That had to been in 05' or around there. Found my way onto the forums and heavily overclocking in 07'. Pretty much met the cp crew and joined their team after Scott invited me. Believe I was there on the team by 08/09'. The rest is history. Ive learnt quite a bit and enjoyed very much overclocking with my team.

PostmanFW lead me to SocketAPlus and away from Abit Forums when I got my first hot socketA rig. Told me we needed to crank up the powa on that bad mutha and there was a group of fellas I needed to meet. So I joined socketAPlus. Where I was surrounded by Stonie, Bones, Scottie and a bunch of others. They were an awesome collection of the most knowledgeable overclockers I have ever known. After they got thru with me I was hooked and had one of the most powerful rigs I ever had at the time and more knowledge than I knew what to do with. Before I knew it I was kicking some ass at the bot with my boys behind me cheering me on. AN7/Athlon XP-2500 and tweaked out Corsair TCCD. We were very close to say the least. Then I took what they had taught me and passed that on to those I felt were deserving of such knowledge. Then they turned me on to Socket 939 and the rest is history. Now I don't clock anymore but I love to watch this team and cheer them on to victory.

and i remember now too, i sent shrimp that same 6000+ cpu and you tested it and then delidded it , you said ill send it back to you and i said no its yours but just cant really remember if it was a normal or a good performer, a 3500 figure sorta comes to mind tho

You got it back. I have no records of benching a 6000+ Brisbane. I had a Windsor. According to HWBot, you hit some 3600mhz and change with it. My 6000+ windosr topped out at 3750mhz though.

Well, I'll be damned. Pretty sure when I have a CPU I bench it (at least a couple benches). I'll have to get the external drive out and sift through all the screen shots. Each CPU has it's own folder, so If I did any, I'll have the pictures most likely there. I do know that some processors I never put on HWBot, because I benched more for leisure at times than points. Pretty sure I sent it back Shane. I remember de-lidding it. No solder. Back then, I posted the pictures on HWBot when they let the public do that for visual of Processor. Here's the 6400+ you'll find a handful of the de-lids on that site. hwbot.org/hardware/processor/athlon_64_x2_6400_plus_windsor/EDIT: I may have put the plate back on with better thermal paste.

nah you wanted to send it back but i said no its yours, i know the windsor is soldered, i delidded one here and pulled half the chip off with the ihs plate , wasnt a bad chip either, the brisbane 6000+ isnt soldered

I can say I got there in a different way. Was researching a problem I was having with the old Soyo when a search result turned up Socket A plus so went there, signed up and things went from that point onward.

I was a member of OCN and seen a post in the 939 Appreciation thread from Rodney about a competition on his home site so went and had a look and joined CP. After a while I asked Scotty how I join the HWBot team I thought I would give it a go and would probably be no good at it I am still doing it with a great bunch of fella's.
