I like mine too. Still kind of cranky they were all "nope, we won't do colours" and then after the first 200 silver ones sold, and shipped... Oh hey look, black and red are an option. Oh well, the silver still does its job, I just wanted it black in the first place They need to have the spare parts kits available more often, as they don't stay in stock for long...

I couldn't better my score at all... 10 Deg C NB and nothing I could do helped... I did manage this with a different CPU.. pulled #2 for this board on Mem Freq... have no clue how someone got 787 with this board
I did hit 660Mhz, and things were easy... got up to 680 to take a SS and a crash... and nothing I could do would let me pass 580Mhz... Still today... 2 different CPU's and my limit is 580mhz on memory... might of pushed the MB too hard..

Maybe it's them memory sticks Vin? Are you going big on the voltage yet?

Maybe it's them memory sticks Vin? Are you going big on the voltage yet? I had the memory up with lower timings without issue in the past. it's rated at 2.3v and I've run it up to that. but not past it.

Try different straps other than 1:2 you might be surprised.

Too bad this board isn't for me and I am not allowed to do much to it beyond seeing if it boots up... Have a second one coming in two weeks and then ship them out.

That's a nice looking board. Always liked the Orange and Yellow of DFI's hardware. Looks fast! If you boot it, you must also test OC capability. It's the only way

I didn't realise Nox was hanging about around these parts, fantastic overclocker, just benches for the wrong team

Noxinite politely refused the prize and suggested a raffle. I will be pulling a single name from a hat instead. Because I held the comp, my name is not valid in the drawing. However Noxinite's name will be in the hat for a second chance to win, unless he states outright otherwise. I will video the drawing as to keep it fair. The result will be posted by the end of this coming weekend the 12th. You all have a 1 in 11 chance of winning Noxinite /E8500/Team Group 2600C10 1x4GB/EP45T-Extreme/Phase + Air/ 685.7MHz. Macsbeach98 / E8400 / G.Skill PI / EP45T-UD3R / Water / 642.74mhz Casanova /E8400/Corsair VS2GB1333D3/Rampage Extreme/Water(chilled)/Air/640.34 Aleslammer /E8600 Chilled 10c/Gigabyte EP45-UD3P, NB 1.5v/Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800, 2.2v/625.20 MHz Ground /E8400/Transcend DDR2 1066 @ddr2 1220/Asus P5Q Deluxe/Air / 610.1 DR4G00N / E8200 / G.Skill Flare 2000C9 PSC / P5E3 Deluxe / Chilled water / 585MHz Vinster / e8400 / Partriot DDR2-1150 / Gigabyte EP45-UD3L / Cold Water / 545Mhz StormChaser / E8400 / Corsair XMS3 1600 (2 x2GB) / Asus P5Q3 / Thermalright True 120MM / 500.0Mhz WhiteWulfe / QX6850 / 2x 1GB Reaper DDR2 / P5N32-E SLI / AIO-CLC / 450.06 MHz KSATEAAA23 /I7 8700K/TRIDENT Z 1800/Z370 ultra gaming - gigabyte/350.95mhz cbjaust / Athlon 64 3000+ (Venice, s939) / 2 x Corsair TWINX-3200XL / DFI LANParty nF4 SLI-D / Air / 334.51MHz

Welp, I guess the shiny sexy board will have to take a nap in a warm cozy motherboard box.
I've acquired some HW that will allow me to participate in a few submissions. However I feel like I will be going against half of my team or more lol. Air gas is 1.5 blocks from work. Hope to pay them a visit soon. got the 22L dewar and need to clean that up, but it's out! Then I need to see what I have left laying around for LN2 pots. There's a good one here with a decent amount of mass. Need to insulate that somehow. Need some heavy foam rubber mat or something. Then hopefully bang out some decent scores. Just got a new stack of DVDs to burn some OS's and should be ready to rock.

My shiny motherboard almost cracked 600MHz FSB with most things on auto... With ambient temps of like 35C! Okay, it was 584.9 or something like that, but still. I'll play with said motherboard for a few more days, as I want to swap a CPU or two through it to deal with a certain, uhm, goal I had in mind that I'm somewhat closer to now after I gained a few new subs from today's run... Which was nice, because man, this thing is PICKY AS ALL SIN so that was two hours of boot looping to figure out which setting it didn't like. Gawds, as silly as it might sound to some, I kind of can't wait to get the P5E back on, since it cooperates a LOT MORE. Of course, the P5E doesn't push as hard, but eh, it's my only DDR2 board I have, so kind of have no choice Given the hardware I have, looks like my fun will mainly be in SC2 with a bit of dabbling in SC3....

I'm looking forward to stopping in at Air Liquide in the "soonish" timeframe... But for dry ice.
Not this weekend though, I have a motherboard and a few CPUs to learn first, and a part of me wonders if an AM3 cpu in an M3N78-VM would cooperate with dry ice.. (yeah, not the best of boards, but it's my only DDR2 AMD board)

I'm headed out the door here in about 10 mins to go fill up my 30L Dewar lol Not going to lie, I'm kind of envious... Then again, there are three four reasons I haven't transitioned to LN2 yet.. - no easy way of getting it home (work frowns upon those kinds of dangerous goods being transported in work vehicles) - dry ice is convenient, in that if you want to walk off and make a sandwich (or coffee) you just top off your pot and walk off for several minutes (don't do this with an actually hot cpu like the 3770k...) - I'm not doing the full, sloshing milk jug shuffled walk up two flights of stairs to get it into my place - if I'm doing LN2 at the $6-7/L or so I seem to be able to get quotes for on the best of days, I'm going to want a much better power supply (my current one can't even handle 2x HD 6850's, and is a gigantic octopus cabling mess) Dry ice also is, uhm, if I play my cards right on Friday afternoon it's free...

Ahh, the CPUz tab... Mines usually a double CPU instead of CPU and Memory... ^_^;;;; Hoping to do a few more benching runs this weekend though, even if it's stupidly hot outside and even if it's "only" on a 240mm AIO/CLC
