ViNG & Kotori going to be hard to beat if the MBs still power on, both boards I've had over 600 are dead. OP hasn't been on site for awhile. hwbot.org/search/submissions Sorry, link didn't hold put in board ref. and Warp9 for team, I have 2 ep45t-extreme(1st@672 so far on x5270, 2nd @680 on e8400...but I have to test 2nd with kingston2133s), p5e3 premium (can do ~676 on e8600), 2 ReXs(both 650bootable vnb 1.75 on e8600...max ~662), p5q3 dlx (654). All works. I will submit score but first I have to win hard battle on e5430 (geek3 gold, cb11.5 5.28, hwb x265 gold...only wPrime&cb15 left). Best regards I'll try max out my rex fsb with e8400 and chilled water on the NB. I'm thinking in give it 1.55v max (vnb), do you think that with chilled is safe to boot with higher voltage?

I have put 1.9v through the NB of my rex both with the waterblock X48 likes big voltage to get real high frequency. But I also had a E8500 @ 6.2 with nitrogen at the same time Whatever you feel safe with.

Getting an Asus P5Q Deluxe (P45) on Monday, anything I need to be particularly aware about? Or can I start from the same basic settings the Gigabyte board?
Yes I bought a second board because I couldn't stand Gigabytes "recovery" "feature" which locks up the board all the time... I've found a work around (once it crashes in Windows, turn off the PSU, wait 3 minutes, try rebooting 3 times, if it doesn't boot repeat up to 3 times. If that doesn't work, unplug everything including CMOS and CPU, try powering on the board with nothing plugged in, wait a couple hours and try again. First solution works about 80% of the time luckily...) but thats really inconvenient...

Until you get a feel for what it can do that's probrably the best way to do it I'd think.
If anything you don't want to blow up the board with settings you're not sure about.

Can you please update it? I used chilled water to cool the NB this time The cpu stock cooler from intel is holding it back, still waiting for the water block, it will arrive in a few weeks Casanova/E8400/Corsair VS2GB1333D3/Rampage Extreme/Water(chilled)/Air/640.34 valid.x86.fr/cds3yjhwbot.org/submission/3905501_

Found out last night that my small pump for the NB was letting me down. did a swap on the CPU and found the water block to be hot... I hope to be back and re-bench this coming weekend with a better pump before the comp ends.

I say participate anyways, it can be fun, even if you're like me and holding last place for P45/X38/X48 ^_^
(I would bench some more, but once again, quite the heat wave has kicked in, so hoping that we get that promised rain this evening...)

Its more about my tendency to buy a ton of stuff that I don't even end up using, luckily I already have someone who takes these from me And well, I've done 590 with my Gigabyte board, but currently its far to hot to do any benching with ambient stuff... I hope it rains here too, would bench the two boards I already have here then My RAM does 630 under air, so that shouldn't be holding me back...

Will update scores once I sit at a pc at home. Vin I look forward to your 765mhz submission! I already got the Max on the board I have based on the bot, don't think I'll get to 765... but I want to make it near unattainable for others... started playing with Memory Frequency last weekend and topped out at 640Mhz (1:2 Ratio) but ran out of water... every time I start getting somewhere, I run out of cold..

I am finished for this comp the EP45T-UD3R wont start at all nothing when the power button is pressed I painted it to insulate it and it had Vaso on it so I had to get the residue off with Acetone now its dead I dont know if that is what caused it. Its the first board I have lost like that painting them and I have cleaned a few of them off that have had vaso on them without a problem. Ah well thats the way it goes not to worry.

While my 1200 rated OCZ sticks maxed out at 630 MHz my Elpida based 1066 Transcend stick seems to be able to do at least DDR2 1360 (680 MHz). One limit out of the equation

So, did a bit more testing on the P5Q and I think I have it somewhat figured out. Gonna try putting it under cold water in a couple days, I'm pretty sure this isn't all this board can do (given my 35C ambient) Aleslammer, I'm coming for you next Ground/E8400/Transcend DDR2 1066 @ddr2 1220/Asus P5Q Deluxe/Air / 610.1

Thanks! I think some people would dislike me for what I did to the heatsink to get the water block on... Southbridge heatsink is basically glued on (didn't want to pry and wreck the board), so I just broke off the heat pipe there and turned the VRM heatsink around. Gonna see how it does later, water is in the fridge waiting... Macsbeach98Don't kill more boards

thats strange pete for it to up n die like that, maybe it was something that decided to shit itself and you didnt know about it, i cant see painting it and cleaning the vaso of it with acetone killing it, not after the amount of different boards youve done the same thing too, wondering if a battery out and cmos clear night help and let it sit, it is a gig board surely not another enermax psu pwr issue like the 1350 ?

@ Jon I am well armed for the teams cup with 775. @ Shane I dont know why it did it I dont think it was painting it or Acetone its winter now and I havent got a heater upstairs where I work with them could of been static from taking a sweater off I dont know I might probe around to see what I can work out with the power button circuitry or just put it with the dead board collection and buy another when I find one. One thing I am not worried about it if I worried about boards dying I would of given this game up a long time ago we do give them a hard time. @ Ground whatever it takes to satisfy what you are trying to achieve I paint boards and modify everything I dont consider resale value into anything I do with them most I expect to die with my abuse sooner or later. Actually thats a nice board there its got the double 8 phase CPU power I would like one of those for my collection.
