My SLI-DR won't fire up after a bit of time in storage.... I get nothing but four the lights. CPU is good, memory is good, PSU is good... Annoying because I want the -DR to work. All is not lost, my SLI-D is working still. Cheers

Have you tried cleaning the entire board to include ZIF Socket, ram/pci/pcie slots using Electronic Grade Contact Cleaner such as from CRC or WD-40 then blowing it out with air? Do you Still have the motherboard manual to tell you what the status lights mean? Swap the CMOS/RTC/JBAT battery and then perform a clear cmos before powering up. Clean the battery socket too

Is the CMOS jumper in the correct position? If it's accidentally left in the "clear" position it will do exactly what your experiencing.

Its either a Bios or CPU problem Dragoon could be right about the jumper. the 4 Debug Leds indicate. First one goes out CPU is good. 2nd is memory good. 3rd is GPU good. 4th peripherals good and the boot screen should appear.
Also you havent forgotten to plug the 4 pin CPU power in.

My UT gets funky start ups after sitting in storage. Last time, I left a PSU hooked up to the board, not on. Helps charge the caps. Almost every time, replace the battery especially if it's been a few months.
But yea, Mac has the list there. It's the same for all of them.

Yeah I pretty much went over just about every possible case of what would cause it to fail presuming that he had everything hooked up

Yep you have put up a good sart for him it usually turns out to be something simple. Another thing I would try is to put another known working CPU in too. We will see how he goes for now and recommend more tests as he goes.

A few things to check. Be sure your CMOS battery is good, these boards will go insane with a weak battery in place and that usually results in a corrupted BIOS.
Since it's sat for awhile sometimes just messing with it will get it going again.
However it's possible the CPU socket, PCI-E slot or RAM slots could have a touch of corrosion in them. If you have any circuit board cleaner you can hit these places with it to be sure. Shrimpy's suggestion to plug up a PSU but not start the system could help too. If I understood what he said correctly, the PSU itself has to be on to apply a charge to the caps - Just don't power up the system right away. Let it sit for a few hours, maybe overnight then try it again.
