Looking through what you got in the Show Us thread, E6600 if it's from Pentium series or the E7200 might give better mem results compared to the Conroes back. Anything Wolfdale generally better memory results.

Trying to get you a screenie, but the setup is not at all cooperating today. I got my e6750 up to near 3.9Ghz yesterday. I was working on 480blk x8 but today she won't even boot at 360. All I get is stock with no OC...
not going to push it and break something, going to walk away for a bit today

Here, you were right, did a touch better.
CPU vcore at 1.2v DRAM at 2.0v - bumping up to 2.1v didn't make a difference.
Vin
EDIT: just realized I fat-fingered the tRAS ;( - - - Nope, it was set to Auto, I can't get to boot at 280FSB with the timings at 5-5-5-12. if everything is on Auto, the MB sets it to 5-7-7-21... odd

Vin, Try SetFSB with the same PLL I'm showing in Post 1 should work on that board, Easy Tune can be a little unstable at times. In BIOS under DRAM Performance Control set Performance Enhance to Standard, Asus has something similar just makes things a little unstable when testing and if the memory is tuned properly shows no performance gain. tRAS is a little loose try working with a 15, my Pats need to be 2.1v or better to start pushing that timing towards what is showing in EPP #1. tRFC is fine I've got a reason for using 60 but for the life of me can't remember just what I use when testing CL 5. This is about the best Gigabyte Memory Guide I've seen, does know his stuff. forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/27283-memory-timings-explained-suggested-timings-memset-vs-bios.html

I remember reading that a long time ago. Good stuff there, forgot about it.
I'm able to boot at tRAS 15 and Performance on Standard. Thanks for the PLL for SetFSB, I had tried to figure out what was on this MB, but hadn't figured it out.
with 5-5-5-15 at 2.0v, best I could muster was 573Mhz. Bumping the DRAM to 2.1 and 2.2 had no effects. I tried bringing my MCH Core up gradually to +0.2v and that had no effect either.
I bumped the CPU ratio down a few ticks and that also had no effect. also bumping up my Vcore from 1.25 to 1.35 gradually also made no change.
This ram will almost do it's spec on timings, surpasses the Mem a hair. can't complain, but a far cry to what some of the kits you have are capable of. But I'm happy with this kit.

Could just be the CPU, we probably would have only seen E8600 if their manufacturing processes were fool proof.

Have six kits that came in today to test but the ones I thought had the most promise are not living up to my expectations so a little disgruntled, decided to have a few of my new favorite and watch TV and and test them in the morning when my enthusiasm for this chore hasn't lost interests.

Phase 1 has been updated and will have no more additions, should have the last of the Phase 2 kits by this weekend.

CL5 Have a match for the bottom stick, would start to post but hang. One more kit to test Super Talent but CL4, the one stick I have is looking pretty good.

Test bed is down so calling it done. Still have 1 kit I wanted to add but will just post it as a stand alone. Only thing left is going through the screen shots hopefully all the shortened screen names still make sense.

Though these matched the Super Talents just above but the model #s are slightly different and missing a heat spreader. All three have the same #s below the bar code so guessing they came from a 4x1 kit.

Hey not to flood the forum with a new thread, is there a tool that can read the ram modules and tell what chip/die is used?
This has me intrigued.

Thank you both because I want to know what my Ripjaws Z have or where they exes I don't remember they just have a black heatsink I really don't feel like taking the heat sink off of them though but they do run at Trident timings and voltage for rum 2400 Ram even though they are 2133

Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2 800 Specs: Mixed 2x1 Kit, (4-4-4-12 Newegg & SPD) (2.2v SPD)(5-5-5-15, 2.2v DDR2 1000 SPD) Sticker Model BL12864AL804.16FD3 Newegg listing: www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148076 Notes: Best 2 of 4, Model # different than Newegg Results: (CL 4), 2.2v, 529.3 MHz – (CL 5), 2.2v, 646.1 MHz Have four sticks all same Batch & Part #, best two of the four. One would not make Windows at 2.2v, 600 MHz, CL 5 another gave out around 615 MHz, 2.2v, CL 5. All came as untested from a system that wouldn't post so may have had a little bit of a rough life in the past. As for my comment in Post 1 concerning this RAM the favorable posts may have been swayed by the bling factor. The Corsair [P2 – 21] have lights the full length of the sticks where as the Tracer's only have lights between the retention clips but they do go better. CL 4 CL 5

Nice kit, luck hasn't been with me every thing I've gotten has been FD3s. Actually have two DDR2 800 Tracer kits and a regular Ballistic 1066 kit to test.

I'm thinking about write this post or simply stay calm and feel happy. Actually those were first two sticks from the four I bought. Two still untested. Don't mention the price of the 4 sticks because Sure You going to hate me. Sure I will ! Never seen any ddr2 that able to do even just close to these Ballistix. I've heard some story about insane D9's but think every person put a bit plus to the story before telling to another. Still not know exactly what makes a D9 so good among the other D9's. I made 1400 c5 @ 2,27 vdimm which is still heard unreal. ddr2 freq @hwbot : hwbot.org/submission/4048954_

If you're after max clocks then Crucial is the only way to go, all others start to freak out over 1200 or so, but for low clocks all are game. I've not had much luck with motherboards of late, but I'll see if I can find my data for DDR2

Finally found a set of Crucial FD5's, one of these days will have to get the UD3P out and see how they go. Expecting clips on the HS.

I'm sorry if this is not the right place to ask, but are there any known bugs on the DDR2 frequency read-out? I used to struggle real hard to get anywhere close to 600 MHz on my Asus P5Q boards. Most kits stopped at 560-580, no matter the strap or divider. Now I started testing my EP45-Extreme board and ehm. As much as I wish these results are true I really doubt them. I have one kit of Corsair Dominator 2x1 that I marked 545MHz as that was the hard limit on my Asus boards. Now I tried the usually (for me) not so stable 333 strap in different dividers and got to 630MHz without even having to tweak anything. It gets even weirder when I switch over to the 400 strap, that one was the most stable on my P5Q-E. Well it seems like it is on this board too, but the results just seem wrong. It makes legit CPU-Z validations but if there is a hardware bug on the dividers for the 400 strap this would be cheating and I'd like to know. This is the Corsair kit which I could not get beyond 540 before.
Same kit but on 1:2

There is a bug on P45 and I think its with the 5/8 divider I think but dont count that as gospel it could be another divider.
