Problems huh, well, its good to flesh this stuff out now. I think maybe try my driver and make sure you are doing CUDA mode with something near 4M/64. If it fails at loop 4, and you are on Legacy 3.2, then perhaps you ran in OpenCL mode? One other guy had this same issue, now he is passing fine with CUDA 6.0.5. I tested HPET both ways, it works and the score is nearly identical. You guys can mess around with HWiNFO too, I was originality thinking "Full Detection" would be required but if you can pass other ways let me know. If you still cant make it work, and you still want to keep testing, I recommend new W7 64 + 342.01 driver and NOTHING else (I literally installed nothing except driver). Highest respect for you guys helping me with this, thank you!!!

Already tried the 342.01 driver but still errors out. I believe it's a board driver issue, will need to do a clean install of the OS, set it up and see what happens.

Error out on the 4th loop seems like the old issue (before the new fix). I think you are on the right path with new OS!!
Some people have reported issues when trying to validate. For this purpose we are not going to use valid file so SS only. However, if it gives an error on validation just try again, second time usually works.

I recommend new W7 64 + 342.01 driver and NOTHING else. That is exactly what I am using. I will keep trying this morning.

Any pics of the problem?
It should be working, a few people I asked to test had problems to start with but I think everyone has it working now.

Hmmm.... I'm using the default M$ driver on W7x64 and just loaded CUDA 9.0. Works fine.

I didn't do anything special. I know GPUPI uses CUDA to compute so I loaded it. I know the Nv drivers include it to an extent, but it's a 2D bench, so you really don't need 3D drivers.

I think we will still need a GPU driver for GPUz screen shot, unless the CUDA kit somehow comes a base one? Either way it might be a good thing for people struggling, just install this on top of whatever driver.

Well, even with Cuda I'm having problems - The system just won't install it, obviously GPU PI crashes with the GPU driver. I am using Win 7 64 SP1 so that shoudn't be the problem.
I'll keep working on it and maybe I'll figure it out.

Yes - Downloaded the Cuda install and did that, the system just refuses to install it. I will be looking over install options that I know works with it and go from there. The OS itself is a fresh install done earlier today with all the correct drivers for the board and such loaded before runs were even attempted. Could be it's still missing something and I'll check into that tomorrow.

Ok its working here but with Sys-info off if I try any of the other three detections it fails the second it starts. The board is a Apex IX 7700k with a fresh install W7 x64 I have got chipset, 342.01, ME, Net framework 4.5, vcredist 2012 and still no cigar on the HWinfo detection. I have tried a GTX260-192 and a GTX285 there is a big difference in the times of the 2 cards the 285 is around 50% faster. I have included a pic of add remove programs maybe one of ya's might see what I need there to get detection working. Another thing Scotty I have got Cuda 9 installed but GPUPI still shows Cuda 6 maybe because you havent got the card driver installed but you will need the nvidea driver if you are to overclock the card

I'll have to do a more thorough test. I was on an existing AMD setup. I'll move to the Skylake setup and test again.

Bones Its a bummer to hear things are not working for you However, this is sorta the stuff we live for right? When I have a problem like this I go into laser focus mode and shut out the world hahah...just quit before you enter "hammer" mode (I think we all know what this is and have been there more than once). What platform are you on? I have only tested modern Intel platforms, I wonder about older/AMD systems. Macsbeach98 I think it will be ok to use HWiNFO detection off since it still shows the GPU and shader frequency. I also saw the same thing with CUDA 9. I tried to install CUDA 9 without a graphics driver and the GPUPI program gave me a OpenCL error and would not run. When I install a GPU driver + CUDA9, I am still seeing CUDA 6 in GPUPI. I think its still a good idea to add this on top of graphics driver, maybe it adds extra juju I did some messing around with a different GPU too I have had 2x 295's (Quad SLI) sitting in a box for ages, just popped them in to see what would happen...its fast

ATM for testing I'm running my AM3+ (CHV-Z) with an older 555 BE chip. No prob to mitigate to something more capable and plan to, I was using that system to test GPU PI with the card.
Was already setup to run so just went with it.

Thanks David I cant really see any problem having HWinfo disabled as the cards dont have Boost so what you see in GPUZ is what its running at.
Try disabling HWinfo before you run it Rodney.

Disabled the HWinfo and it's running but still crashing after iteration 4 is done.
I've downloaded the regular version and will see if it's any different, also just to see I grabbed the previous legacy version 2.2 for finding out if it's just the version of it we're running making it difficult for some to do or not.
