The Office that I work at picked up a FormLabs Form 2 Resin based Printer, they bought the kit with the Standard Clear Resin and baths ($3500USD from their site). Today I started printing an M.2. Fan Holder for my MB. Asus has a bunch of 3D models ready to print; www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/ROG-CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO/3D-Printing/It's got just over an hour to go and then I'll be able to clean it off and see how it looks... it's made with clear, so I am not sure if I will paint it or leave it as it is... I guess that'll depend on how it turns out. So for now I can print what-ever I want, I got the "Go-Nuts" from the boss... A resin clear canister out here is $180CAD, holds 1 liter of resin. This little project uses under 24mL. Seems after a few bottles of resin you need to replace the silicone base. That's goes at a cost of $150. This unit is neat, but has a pretty high operating cost. The Advantage of this unit seems to be the accuracy that it can print... Here are the specs on our unit: formlabs.com/3d-printers/tech-specs/Vin

the clear resin turned out pretty good. to clean off the resin there is a double Alcohol bath, but it seems the alcohol the office has, has clouded the form. so it looks like a smoked clear now. this is before the bath, I'll take pics this weekend. I have to figure out how to assemble it, the bracket is two pieces, no instructions. looks like the bottom attaches to the MB and is a spacer, the fan attached to the top. but the bottom has no holes for the fan screws to attach the bottom and the top together. I think I may have to add 2 holes on the bottom bracket, or maybe I am to glue them together? why not make it 1 piece then? Here is the bottom, those screws are to attach it to the MB; Here is the top where the fan is attached to the bracket; I'd had thought there would be the same fan holes in the lower bracket to put them together? or glue? thoughts?
