It sure looks like it. One of the reasons I havent bought a Coffee Lake as yet it was less than 12 months since I bought Kaby.

It's all make believe when it comes to marketing, gotta show bling/paper gains for share holders when it actual kills sales in the long run. Hasn't been anything really noticeable for the average user since SSDs.

Doesn't bother me, don't have one of those and probrably never will. However it's good to see it being exposed, as said more proof of Intel's trickery at our expense.
Speaking of intel stuff just a few minutes ago I had to pull my mini-AMD setup from the DD case and popped in one of my 775's with a 771 Xeon - Working fine ATM.
