you poor bastards, dunno how yas do it, it'd kill me for sure , bbbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrr Currently -15F here (-25C) before windchill, with windchill its -23F (-31C). That brrtastic enough for you? And I'm still working in... No, I wear pants in this kind of weather! Haven't gone for the parka or thick gloves yet although I am wearing a thin liner with my fall jacket... ive been in - 20c before and with the wind chill off the rockies it was -40c in calgary canada, i was a dead man trying to walk , your cold over there to me is the same as our heat to you, you wouldnt handle it, try 46 celcius and see how you go with it, you would think the same as me, im gunna die in this

Either that or actually trying to fry eggs on the sidewalk, I've always wanted to try to do that. Even if it means getting heatstroke in the process! ...By the way, it's -30C with a -37C windchill today. As for Calgary weather, yup, been there, done that, lived there for a year. We tend to get colder weather here, however the chinooks down there tend to make the sudden changes in temperature a lot less berable. Worst I've worked in was -39C with a -51C windchill, they almost told us to stay home that day just because of how bloody cold it was.

Meanwhile, in Alberta, we have me wearing shorts again... Our cold snap died... Sadly, my truck went from a nice and clean white to its best impression of a UPS truck in about two hours... So many of my customers were laughing about me wearing shorts, and in good spirits about it. ^_^ That sounds like quite the pileup, worse I saw today was on the way home where a cube truck either didn't check the left lane when merging in or someone tried to blow past him while speeding a decent amount. Been a while since I've seen the front hood of a car doing its best imitation of a triangle shape.

Crews are more productive when they are led by example. It's just good business and human resources practice. It's not like this all the time. I get my sandbag days too.

I kinda doubt it.......... but it's been a really weird season so I suppose anythings possible. We are going through a small climactic change, and will be for the next 10 or so years. What was the norm will no longer be the norm. It will be interesting to say the least.

Well, we're about to get a little snow here and should be around 7PM or so when it starts. I'm off tomorrow morning, the tower is ready and I do have a good chip in the REX for such - I expect to get a few benchies done while the cold lasts.

All good. Scotty doesn't shovel. Those days are long gone. Might be my last snow year anyway. Fleet is getting too big for me to do both.

We've had stupidly cold weather the past two weeks... Now that Crashed Ice starts in like a day they're predicting single digits above zero... ... But the track sure looks awesome
