Well don't just sit there and let all that terrific aircooling go to waste..... Hang your system out the window or something and bench! I promise you'll have the fastest system around..... Cuz there it goes..... Down the street.... Up in a tree. Guess it will be time to call the fire department to get it down.

Speaking of storms, check this out Shady. During the outbreak of April 26 2011 we had one too that was really bad come through and you can still see clear evidence of it today. Right along with the other places that got it bad that day we had at least an F5 or worse tear through and do major damage, a few were killed as well as you might expect. I kinda saw it at the storm shelter I was at; Was living in Eclectic at the time and holed up at the storm shelter when it all happened. I was out in the parking lot listening to the radio for info about the storm, looked up to the west and the only way to describe it was a blacker than black appearance - I've never in my life seen bolts of lightning moving while striking but they were in this storm and the light from the bolts showed just how black it was. You could even tell where it was as it passed and it was nighttime, that's how black it was in appearance. It passed about a mile west of where we were at the time. You can clearly see the brown "Line" going across the lake area, this is because the area in that line is still recovering from it. The funnel itself was about 1 mile wide and driving through this area you can tell exactly where it went because it was like an oversized logging operation in the way it literally cleared the land, nothing in the funnel's path was spared.

Haha. No lie! BUT I'm waiting on a few other submissions before I hold a candle to anything Got mine up and running. Using the PNY drive. On air cooling right now. I can't break 3Ghz. memory is good for 260mhz though. Just need some liquid and I can feel at home. But the s939 rig is at my main desk while I want the bench to run the sA platform I've got pieced together. I'm exactly one freaking power supply short for the adventure too... lol. Always something. Worried about them caps on the board too...

shrimpy, if you cant get into the 14's mark before the first literation forget it mate and that mhz wont be doin it, i dont give a shit what ram mhz you got, hasnt got the cpu speed to get it . sorry mate, thats how 939 works, i had 255 mhz ram, but not the stable cpu speed for it, they talk well and stable at high ram mhz and cpu mhz then you got a good score

3200+ mhz from anything will have a good go at winning this

By the end of this competition, everyone will have more Pi 32m skills.
I am quoting Kotori here because I am not in this to win people have got faster CPUs than me thats for certain. I am in this to learn and try different things for me its all about getting better times at a given clock the good thing is you get to see what times other people are getting and some of what they are doing. I wouldnt of minded if there had of been a cap on the speed say 3 or 3.1Ghz so its all about tweaking and learning Kotori's sub has got me intrigued I am going to try some things now to see if I can improve my times.

32m is definitely all about the tweaks. Most of which I need to learn because I don't run 32m often. Do these cpu's have problems with high mem speeds in dual channel or because of 512mb dimm's? A few of my sticks of TCCD do ~300MHz 2.5-3-3-5 1T by themselves but once you put two in they have trouble past 260MHz.

I feel tccd is difficult, in order to work 300mhz tccd at 300mhz, it's necessary to sacrifice much of memory timings. I will add some screeshots in a few days, that is my OS settings, TCCD run and Bios memory settings, but I don't know whether it will be helpful.
I did 3.15mhz run, but can't Add Attachment now, screeshot uploading is not completed.

more idea's and perspectives will encourage thought and questions. With this we can grow further and together. I would always look forward to more screenshots, settings and writeups. Vin

Give it 1 more day and then upload. It will work.

Yes, Vin-san we grow further and together that's gerat, and 32m method can be applied to other platforms.
@scotty: Roger I will try later BTW here upload capacity is full? and do you need additional payment?

Nope. My auto pay and deposit crossed each other. It'll be fine tomorrow. I use a separate account for the forum and ebay. I don't put money in it unless I need to use it.

This. It's about learning how to improve your skills with the bench and the hardware. Mr. Scott is a witness to what I did a few years ago that at the time I didn't believe I stood a snowball's chance in hell of competing with what I had to run, yet in the end I nearly beat Sofos1990. Of course I didn't win but in trying anyway I learned alot and came away with some much needed knowlege. Don't let what you're seeing discourage you from at least trying, you will learn something from it and that makes it worth while.

Simple programs do most of the work for you. OCXspitweaker Learn how to use it. That's a big help right there. Ram timings. Don't be afraid to play around. Also, don't be afraid to bork an OS trying.

I'm using a server style air cooler. Of course I don't has the Mhz. However I am staring at a 700$ 4000+ sitting here. Happens to be an old ClawHammer. I expect to be in the 1.75-1.8v range with it.

Id expect to be super lucky to beat any time right now with honesty. I just don't have the water cooling hooked up. My water block needs a serious cleaning before I do anything.

Still I have not tried much, may be necessary to adjust the page file and copy amount. Sorry for the difficulty of seeing due to Japanese OS.
I'm using lightweight Win XP home (an unnecessary driver was deleted) Page file 0MB Processor schedule set to background service and system cache Stop unnecessary Windows services Super Pi set real time in task manager Maxmem 600mb(if your ram 1024mb) and PCILock

Using Tiny XP rev 9 with mine as a slightly stripped install. More or less the same as you have done, disabled everything I didn't want running and let it go.

Got an SLI-DR Expert , Ultra-D and a bunch of cpu's coming my way. Hopefully I can lay down some solid times with one or the other.
