Hey guys, I've been popping in and out as I can but RL is really kicking my butt atm. We are buying a bigger new to us house and selling our current little house. I am no longer working for myself 100% anymore. got too slow so I had to resort to taking a job with one of my customers. Same work, but the passion is different, but it's busy and I'm working too much as always.
my little 4 bed/1bath house is packed these days as well with my brother and my wife's best friend staying with us (they aren't together... separate rooms) so we're 6 living in my tiny house... with only 1 bathroom... it can be fun.
My whole AC Chiller hasn't gotten any mileage.. and now I have to take it apart and move it, then find a new place for it in the new place... the garage there is attached but the layout if completely different... and it won't work there anymore... I'll have to see.. I never thought in a forward manner with it as it's 230VAC and all homes here are 120VAC. worked in my garage as I had a 230VAC welding plug... I'll have to see how/what I can do with it once I'm in the new place.
as long as I sell my house in the next 21 days, I take possession of the new place on July 13th...
I'll keep coming by as I can. I haven't forgotten about you guys.
and great work on the comps and the points.. you guys are machines!
Vin

Vin we will always be here I hope everything works out with the change of house. Is your laundry close to the garage in the new place there would be 220v split phase in there for the washer and dryer you could run the chiller off that just get some electric flex and make a cable for it.

Good Luck on the move. We are here, not going anywhere, so stop by any time.
Just remember to sit every now and then and have a beer (or other relaxing cocktail) and take a load off.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. MAC, the Laundry room is right behind the garage, but there's a walkway on that side of the garage to access an in-law suite entrance at the rear of the house, and the other side is attached to the house. This house if my wifes preference. I was looking at older houses to fix up that came with 1 acre of land+ (my favorite came with 18 acres) but this house my wife fell in love with, and you know what they say... happy wife, happy life.... it has all our wants (except for my property size) but there is a conservation area behind the house that we can use for a garden or camp fires.. we just won't be able to get dirt bikes (don't have any yet, but it was one of my wants in the next few years)... Ozz, my AC UNIT is 240VAC at 10 Amps.. houses out here only have 120VAC/15amps receptacles everywhere except for the electric dryer and stoves, they use 240VAC/30 or 40amps. I ran 240VAC at 30 Amps to the garage because I wanted to run a small hobby welder and when I'm not welding I can run the AC unit. Best of all worlds. So I'll have to re-jig my setup once we move in. I've been at this house twice and both times there were flocks of kids outside playing. So because of that I'm fine with losing the property size. there are lots of kids and my 2 (son age 9, and daughter age 7) will have a lot of friends around. All the other properties I was looking at were in the country with neighbors that were near kilometers away (which I would had been fine with btw.. lol). I'll just have to figure out where to setup everything again. Vin EDIT: Pics added

Ah well Vin you might have to do it the proper way and run a Line from your Fusebox to the Garage. A man of your capabilities could do that no problems.

all good vinnie, house looks terrific too, and youre right mate, happy wife , happy life, and 18 acres is a lot of work to keep up to scratch, fences and all the rest of it, and i reckon youre the type that would want to have it manicured, except the dirt bike areas but would be nice to have that space, im sure youll find plenty of places for when you get your bikes.... and as pete said A man of your capabilities could do that no problems

Yep, there isn't anything I can't do. it's the finish cleanup work I'm not great at. all good vinnie, house looks terrific too, and youre right mate, happy wife , happy life, and 18 acres is a lot of work to keep up to scratch, fences and all the rest of it, and i reckon youre the type that would want to have it manicured, except the dirt bike areas but would be nice to have that space, im sure youll find plenty of places for when you get your bikes.... and as pete said A man of your capabilities could do that no problems that property was 18 acres, but only 6 was green space and lawn, the rest were woods. the price was nearly 250K less than the one we bought. but the house was a little run down with only 1 bathroom... that was one of the wants.. wifey wanted more than 1 bathroom... but I figured 250k can easily buy a good lawn tractor and a bathroom... but she didn't see it that way.... so I let it pass I could had pulled a Crocodile Dundee and go camping in my back yard with a days or two's walk... Paint ball away from anything and possibly trap/hunt on my own property... it was zoned farm/rural so I could had raise anything I wanted... and would have... grew up with chickens and rabbits, butchered them with my dad... I would had done that with my kids. showed them where our food comes from. right now if you ask them, it came from the grocery store... if you ask where the grocery store got them from you get shrugged shoulders... I think it's important for kids to know and understand where the food they eat comes from. also to have the skill to grow/raise your own food is also important. out here back in 2003 we had the whole east coast lose power... everyone was helpless... reliant on electricity and grocery stores... being away partially self reliant would be nice for instances like that... don't get me wrong, I'm not an apocalypse junkie. but to be able to grow a small crop, raise animals for protein and be able to kill/clean/store the meat for future use I think is a useful skill for self preservation. I know 60% of it, I'd like to learn the other 40% and teach that to my kids. but I'm a little off topic now. Vin

Vin good stuff vinnie , i agree 100%, kids need to know this stuff to be independant in a ever growing world of major bullshit, especially with foods, we also used to grow out own, i remember when i was 5 i think my chook or chicken i had, she was my pet, id walk up to her and shed sit down and let me pick her up, not run away, and i still have the picture of me and my sister with it, then one day it was gone, the old man killed her for dinner, i never ate that dinner and for nights after, and i hated him, and he got my blue heeler dog shot by the police coz he bit him, probably coz he killed the chook , i remember the police coming out and next minute this big bang, i saw em do it, you have to remember this for your kids coz theyll get attached, now thats 55 yrs ago and i still remember it like yesterday, and when he was dyin i told him, i still hate you for killin my chook and dog

Knowing that they were food from the start, this would make it easier for them. Vin

We finally were able to buy a house. We take possession on Aug-25th right now. Can't seem to post pics atm. But we're going from 1200sq.ft to 2500sq.ft, going from 1 bathroom (6ppl living in this tiny house btw) and now going to a 2.1 bath with with a huge finished basement. also in the basement is an office (14'x11') with an attached workshop (10'x11'). There is a rough-in for a 2 piece bathroom in this office as well. I'm taking over the entire basement. I called dibs on it, wife and kids can have the rest of the house.. lol The back yard isn't as big as I wanted, but it has a in-ground pool But this house has everything else we needed. And for the back yard with 10' Cedars we can make it a private back yard so I can stroll naked in the moonlight.. lol Vin

Able to post pics... here's the front; and 2 views of the back (I can install my chiller AC unit behind the shrub on the left of this 1st backyard pic. There's a window right there that goes in my dedicated electronics repair and benching room, I'm excited) and where I need to add 10' cedars to stroll naked... Vin

Sometimes you gotta do correct manually shit that the machine didnt weld properly and thats where i get to have some fun. But it's a nice job i think

all good, 20 years in the making for this house and I used the housing bubble out here on my current place to help pay for it. congrats on the welding Job. keep it up and get your certs for other types if you can (circular, tubing/pipe, underwater, etc... and Mig/Tig/stainless/aluminum, etc...) they can add a lot to your pay grade. Also getting complimenting trades under your belt can be huge. Out here welders, millwrights and pipe fitters as a single trades person is a huge asset. That work is always crossing paths on single projects and to only have to deploy 1 guy instead of 2/3 is huge and after 5 years can run all facets of a project. and nearly all these extra trades/training items can be done part time and on weekends Vin

currently living in a Minecraft house... boxes piled everywhere... you never realize how much shit you have until it's all boxed in every room and hallway.
we have a 20' (20' Long, 8.5' Wide and 8' High) shipping container in the driveway and it's FULL... top to bottom and front to back.. all storage, seasonal, garage and shed items. We are still getting movers as it's just too much for us to do and burden the few friends we have. Even with the shipping container full the movers are still planing a 53' truck "to me safe" they say. The cost to me doesn't change. $2500 they'll wrap the furniture, move and place everything in the new house, 3 guys and an est. 10.5hr day. They are also going to unload the shipping container. The container gets picked up and delivered on Monday. Movers are also here Monday at 8am.
Work is just nuts.. pulling 10-14hr work days. This week I've been starting between 330am and 430am. All the packing has been done by my wife. I was able to get a day 2 weekends ago and I packed my tools from the garage, my AC chiller and I've started to pack my desk.
It's funny when you plan on taking a week or two off and then end up still working it but just doing it before you actually take it off...
Life is nutz
