Big question is.....is the company covering it? Not at all how I pictured you Luke. Chicks dig scars. Glad you're basically ok.

OUCH!
My brother had the same basic thing happen with sheet metal at a job he was working except it got his arm and messed up some ligaments and tendons, he'll never be 100% in his right arm and the company he was working for tried to make things out to be completely his fault which it wasn't. Some legal stuff happened and in short he's no longer there.
Maybe your employer will treat you well over it and many will but if some weird stuff starts going on I'd put a bug in an attorney's ear to protect yourself.

Dam Luke, gotta stop running around with those ruff-neck chicks 😅 Seriously though, glad it wasnt too serious and you were able to walk away from it to be able to joke about it later.

Big question is.....is the company covering it? Not at all how I pictured you Luke. Chicks dig scars. Glad you're basically ok. Well it won't be a workman comp claim. The owner will pay the medical bill and his co pay out of pocket. This way there is no paper trail or workers comp claim. So it really didn't happen at work and or he will have no real proof later that it happened there. Kinda shady way to run business. Luke should milk this out for 6 weeks IMO. But my opinion no longer matters at that shit hole shop because I'm no longer employed there... Thank god.

wow that sucks. glad you're ok and that there's nothing permanent. Get well soon. Vin Unfortunately, the scar will be there for many many years. I'm glad it was on the noggin. (not glad it happened at all...)BUT that could have taken out an eye or sliced the nose right off. He's a good looking dude! Now he's got battle scars and looks meaner and tougher than ever Luke. Tell Shawn nice job if I don't talk to him before the weekend is out lol.

Yes the shop is covering it all, about an inch lower and it would have been an eye. I do feel lucky. it seems to be healing pretty quick. thanks for get well wishes and the compliments guys. it did very well dawn on me that it could have taken a nose off as well.
lol speaking of milking it out for 6 weeks, yeah I have this thing called a dick between my legs and a sack with two balls in it. I covered up the wound so no dirt would get in it. and showed up to work the next day. the day it happened I even went back to work and clocked out lmao at 4:30 it happened around 3. I was careful not to hit it or anything and just went about my day. not like some weiners Jonny and I know lol. on Friday I went for a check up and was healing well the doc still put me on antibiotics.

so i been a little accident prone lately after getting my head cut open (which healed nicely with an awesome scar) i then had an Air tank (torch tank) fall on my head damn near knocking me out didn't cause but a little scratch that bled like hell luckily no concussion (head like a rock). that healed then a few days ago i was working on a customers 59 Buick when i went to sharpen my air chisel but to cut rivets off a control arm our bench grinder bit back (big ol 220 pedestal Grinder with about 10 or 12 inch grinding wheels) the grinder knocked the bit outta my hand sending two knuckles into the grinder middle finger knuckle got just a scratch. the index finger how ever. got a hole in it about the size of a pencil eraser that went down straight down to the extensor tendon at the pip joint. i could actually see the tendon moving (untorn) through the hole in the skin happened in an instant.

i hate those grinders, they have so much power and when they kick theres no stoppin em, they bite hard, youre lucky you still have fingers left sparks let alone a hand man, or worse it couldve really walked and split ya right open

I've had some knarly cuts in my life but to actually be able to parts of insides moving about was a little unsettling I was like wow I'm not supposed to that lol holy crap man that sounds bad! i worked a while welding stuff at summer and a nasty accident happened where an older worker basically left one finger inside a bending press, sometimes it's hard to focus and be careful when you're tired and doing stuff repedately, accidents will happen.. you have to try your best though i hope you recover from that man Also Scotty well said, chicks like scars. Good to hear it healed nicely for you sparks

Yeah, with this grinder it's got enough nuts to grind the finger down. Most of these 6 and 7 inch little grinders you can stop with a screw driver. This big ass thing we put big pieces of spring steel in sometimes 5 inches across and a quarter inch thick and that don't stop it.
It was literally like a second. By the time brain said ouch jerk your have back it was through the skin. Glad it didn't cut the tendon
