Did U-joints on the 03' suburban today. Took about an hour and a half to complete..
Dang U-joints where glued in from the factory. Had to run to the shop and melt the neoprene (if that's what it is..) and there where no clips! Completely in awe with it really. Never the less no more drive line vibrations. The U-joint at the axle was bone dry.
I have pictures to upload later, you can see the holes where GM injected the neoprene that holds the caps in.
I cannot get the picture under 1.85mb without destroying it's visability for some reason.

They really liked using that yellow GM adhesive on stuff. I had to replace a rear axle beam on a '93 Olds and the bolts were glued into the frame. Broke every one of them. Had to drill out and re-tap the under side to fit in the new rear axle.

Yea they don't want the stuff coming apart at all. I remember doing a brake booster on the old red pickup. All the bolts had locktite. Nothing like laying under the dashboard and taking them off by hand. The ratchet wrench was at work, so had to do it with an open ended wrench. Painful and time consuming! Drilling and tapping isn't much fun either
