Do we know why these black slotted boards performing better ? Some Pcb differency or another rev. of chipset ? You're a smart guy. Chipset revision is what makes the difference. Get the NB voltage up around 1.9-2.0v and that board will do 270. Maybe a little better.

You were close ! 265 fsb made and a bit above it works rams synced. It's good for first try. I'm not sure about voltages, sometimes strange numbers were seen. Maybe I have some little more room but first I have to discover the voltages for sure.

Nice. Above average board. Thx ! I'm very happy to see a board working such superb ! I guess it will be perfect for any cpu type in the future. I get an Ocz ram booster to try it, such a crazy stuff. At first sight a bit freaky. It was for second and third even for me. With it, I can use winbond's till 490@2-2-2-5 which gives crazy (in s462 platform) low latency. A bit below 60 in Aida test. Above it has issues. I guess because the vtt, it goes outside from the workable zone, so vdimm and vtt mod seems unavoidable. This will be the next step of this project. Hopefully the last and after if it will work fine, I'm going to do this on my other nf-7. If everything will be ok, I'm going to have two ultimate board for this platform.

Found a pile of NF7 for sale, want to specify, how do you tell rev 2.0 from the older one not from the sticker? Fotos are blurry, not possible to read sticker. Looks like rev 1 has 5 caps for Vcore, and 2.0 has only 4. Is it true? Any other obvious differences?
