goood vid scotty, but nah i couldnt live in it, is that you talking in the vid scotty ?, it must cost rochester city government millions a year to clear the snow off the roads, im assuming they have to pay the companies to do it, and thats 1 city , jesus, like pete said, as he looks off his balcony will do me too lol, We pay for snow services in our taxes. There is a fund for it. No, that's not me taking the vid. It's one of my buddies that works for the city. Very similar job to mine though, but I work for a private contractor. Pretty sure that is one of my loaders loading the trucks though. That is one of the side streets in my area. We get sub contracted for all kinds of stuff like that.

That video that Scotty put up is a perfect example of what happens to us when it snows hard here. When it's a lake effect storm, first Lake Shore Drive gets wiped out and then the rest of the city gets hit and then the suburbs get wiped out.

I would like to go and see snow as I have never seen it. But it would be a everyday drama I imagine very quick.

When it's a lake effect storm, first Lake Shore Drive gets wiped out and then the rest of the city gets hit and then the suburbs get wiped out. Exactly. We are just on different lakes.....same effect. It's based on wind direction and how warm the lake water is. Lake Erie is very shallow. It freezes over completely about mid winter and that shuts off any lake effect activity. Eddie's and my lakes are bigger and deeper. They never freeze over so we get lake effect all winter.

Pete, stick your head in the ice box and ice cubes in your undies while standing on a block of ice with a high speed fan blowing pieces of ice at you. That's a little bit of what it's like during a Chicago Blizzard.
