I agree that is unfortunate news.
Onkyo/Integra... I remember back in the mid/late 70's while in High School a guy down the street from me had one of those nice "big" Onkyo stereo receivers.
I was a little envious of his setup at the time as I think I was still listening to my dad's old (combo) stereo console. A Zenith? They looked like a piece of furniture with the speakers built in on the ends and the record player and electronics in the middle.

A Zenith? They looked like a piece of furniture with the speakers built in on the ends and the record player and electronics in the middle. I've had fun with those. Back in the 90's I helped a bud retrofit one. He did all the wood working. I helped upgrade the speakers, amplifier and we fixed the original turn table. Unit even had an 8-Track. Everything ran with coax cables for lines. I put RCA ends on them to plug them in the modern-ish amp we used... (might of been an onkyo, or Pioneer), relocated the remote IR and now he had a retro piece with all the modern frills. Sounded good and the Turntable didn't skip when it was cranked...

I was a bit of audio nerd in my younger days. I do not want to think of how much money I spent as a young student on Hi Fi audio. Currently have an Onkyo amp in daily use in the house, ether and USB and the yadadaa, liked it when I bought it and still works, a bit of more attention for user friendly control is something I miss with this, a bit tricky to use, so many features, can't be bothered.
